  • Even though I'm a 90s kid (1992, to be exact), I still like these old school commercials (especially the Superior Waterbeds one, 0:26 to 0:57), but now since Channel 20 (KTXH) has changed more times than a chamelleon, (20Vision to Paramount 20, then UPN 20, now shitty My20), it always makes me wish that they can go back to when they first started that station (especially since their 30th anniversary is so far away.....).

  • It's funny how in 2011 the "local" mattress commercials haven't gotten any better.

  • cinnamon toast crunch > golden grahams

  • I don"t think they make waterbeds anymore. Do they?

  • That waterbed spokesman was trying his best to sound like that guy from Crazy Eddie.

  • I too work for Superior Waterbeds. It was around '82 - '83. Loaded, delivered and set 'em up. How long were they in business?

  • i cant believe i remember these commercials!!!!

  • i used to work for "old Bare" aka barry ross at superior waterbeds about that time

  • Golden Grahams are nasty and got soggy way too fast!

  • omg i feel old now

  • Damn!!! He shot the shit out of that bed. lol

  • Jack in the box went bankrupt. i think....

  • I'm in the Houston area and it was nice to see Superior again (though I have a tape with their ads somewhere). I've always had a thing for the blonde actress in the Hefty ad, she was in a whole lot of others.

Would you have anything from a few years earlier, like 1979-80? (I know that's a little early for VCR's, but I was hoping you might.)

  • There are a lot of commercials from that time on youtube as well.

  • Houston, eh? i thought that Superior Waterbeds commercial seemed familiar!

  • Damn, that chick is gross.

  • life was simple in 1984.

  • I don't think I have any Federated ads. Wow talk about memory. I remember my father buying AR speakers at Federated's San Antonio Location which turned in to AT&T wireless Loop 410 off Vance Jackson. The were $500 a piece there back in 1987.

  • You wouldn't happen to have a Colonial House or Federated spot, would you?

This is bringing back memories of Houston for me. Thank you for posting these commercials.

  • I bought my first waterbed from 'Ol Bear! What a piece of crap!

  • now im hungry for

    JACKnTHE BOX

  • You have any more stuff from KTXH?
