  • 5 people don't deserve decent music....

  • @joaniefergusondivine your right there mate this is sheer class a absoloute gem, no music is like this now so im stuck in the 80s and proud of it.

  • @FeelGood30 YUP

  • To sad that Dusty Springfield is dead... She was great to with "In Private".... Dusty was a beuatyfull woman on that time... But Pet Shop Boys that was the group i hear when i was teenager now im 40 soon 41... Oh boy its a long time ago..

  • @Lemonman69 -yeah, I still remember going to but their album "please" in an actual record store(not in a mall either) in the 80's. They still sound amazing! I am 37 going on 38.

  • legend

  • A great song, one of my favs with both Pet Shop Boys and Dusty. She was one of the best singer ever! Saw Pet Shop Boys here some years ago outdoors in the summer singing all their hits, amazing!! Tried to dance, too many people, couldn't move. Great moment and memories. Love :D ♥

  • This is what was so cool about the '80s. Veterans like Dusty Springfield, Paul Simon, Steve Winwood and Tina Turner got the comebacks they deserved. On top of that, the '60s finally got the recognition they deserved for their massive influence on music.

I agree Edward. Dusty left us way too early.

  • @moparfan59 good comment. Very informative for a 1986 guy like me :) Thanks

  • glamorous!!!!

  • what a song !

  • Why is it one of the greats? Where to begin? Atmosphere. This has atmosphere which is tough to accomplish. Pet Shop Boys tend to get lumped in with typical 80's pop/dance and this is so much more. It's not just of the 80's but a snapshot of the 80's. It's played on the loop at Disneyland a lot and when I hear it, it's a flood of memories. And Dusty is the most underrated songstress of all. Nuff said!

    Mickeba

  • How insane! I had no clue Dusty Springfield had even ever *heard* of the Pet Shop Boys... lol!

I am so ashamed... this was my time, too (graduated high school in 1990). Man, I was attached to MTV -- I was this huge "Durannie-Whammer" and all! How DID I manage to miss who this lady was? I don't even remember seeing her... I just know the song... arggg.

Really cool to see, lol... thank you much, azul25pt!

    <3.

  • Dusty was the best. RIP my love.

  • i love Dusty's signature pose at the end. This is pure magic -- just how am I going to get through to you....

  • Fantastic video and song

  • Fantastic and imaganitive video as usual. Dusty was without doubt and still is the best female vocalist the UK has ever produced.

  • @Markmywordmanchester: Dusty was exceptional, no question of that. But, I think Petula Clark was very talented, and had quite a few hits herself. I like both.

  • 2 geniouses and a real singing lady..what else do we need?

  • this is a classic!! luv it

  • I remember being beat up in school for liking Pet Shop Boys when it was way "cooler" to like Vanilla Ice & MC Hammer.. Fools!

  • Too right.. PSB were so much more innovative than rubbish Yank stuff like Vanilla and MC !!

  • Dusty had been battling cancer...hard life, granted.

  • not to keen on the PSB, but like this song, so 80s

  • Brilliant song thanks for posting this! : D

  • thank you so much! this is amazing

  • wot can i say that dusty was a lady love her rip

  • I remember seeing this when I was younger and before I realized who Dusty Springfield was. Now she is one of my favorite singers. Hate her Anne Murray look here, but a great vocal. Really reminds you of her powerhouse performances in the 60's. Here's a thought: "I Knew You Were Waiting For Me" with Dusty and Freddie Mercury.

  • She's totally have a good time and getting her groove on. What's up with the other 2? An artistic expression?? Yeah go with that!

  • Dusty could blow them all off the stage...........

  • the end of this is the best Dusty voical is so powerful "I always say she going into full on Dusty mode "

    She was the best xxxxxxxxxx

  • This is fantastic stuff. Great to see the lovely Dusty. Great that Neil and Chris won a Brit. Don't know know why they're asking 'what have I done to deserve this'?;)

  • One of their all time greatest hits! Dusty Springfield made the song. R.I.P. Dusty.

  • Neil Tennant wrote this song specifically for Dusty's voice, and the PSB spent the next 2 years trying to convince her to do the song with them.

They absolutely wouldnt record the song without her.

Im so glad they persuaded her to. I love this song.

  • THE GREATEST SONG OF THE 80S! much better them madonna's crap!

  • It's hard to believe that it's 10 years since Dusty died (2 March 99). But this video is great. I often walk along the street that she lived on (briefly) in Toronto, and I think about her. I also love PSB, but Dusty is on my mind right now. What a great artist!

  • quelle beau duo!! merci les pet shop boys et merci Dusty!! tu nous manques!

  • manque beaucoup avec sa distinctive voix

  • great song! great memories! great age '80!!!!!!! forever!

  • the best song !!!
