I know these are basically an Ibanez RG knockoff but how is the neck? How does it compare to a Wizard or Wizard II neck? I've been considering one for awhile but a little nervous due to the cheap price. I mean you could be an awesome player and the guitar is a complete P.O.S., LOL!

gettin one of these in january cept it's just the sx sr1 in black for a cheap floyd guitar to see if i like a floyd. there is nothing wrong with using a POD or an effects processor now days, modeling amps are great too. tube amps are a thing of the past id rather not spend $2k on a guitar just so my amp can sound good lol.

I got the SX SEG1, great guitar for the price, got mine for around $120. The original Floyd Rose alone is a reason to get this guitar. The pickups are great, really punchy, fat tone. Sounds better than my friends Ibanez, which cost him around $200 more! Great value for the price. Anyone looking for a great guitar for an affordable(more than that) price, look no further!

The Best inexpensive quality guitars around imo, epi's are nice to, but usually cost a little more. New players can get a good axe for less than when i started over 25 yrs ago.

Nice dude, how are you with the locking nut? I dislike it when I tighten it down the string are pulled out of tune.

@msarka64 that's why many years ago, the Floyd Rose was modified and given the FINE TUNER screws.

You lock down the nut, then use the fine tuners to compensate for the slight alteration in pitch,

@Metallicaforever95 Quality is good, Sound is very nice also, had to mess around with the licensed floyd rose tremelo alot but it does very well for the price. I only bout it because it seemed like a great deal. But if you are an exceptional player I would suggest looking into higher grade guitars

licensed floyd rose is some of the worst tremolos out there :P Get's real quick out of tune, that's why you rarely see this guy use it.

Only thing that is worse than licensed floyd rose is a tremolo system without locking nuts. Original floyd rose however is great. And the ZR, edge pro, edge zero and even the edge III by Ibanez is great too.

the schaller licensed and the original are right on par with each other, and the ping licensed floyds aren't too far behind. the jackson model licensed floyds are acceptable until you can save up the cash to drop in an original. it's the crap ebay ones and the ones that come on el-cheapass guitars you gotta watch out for.

I own an SX STD and its the best guitar I own. The only thing i would change is the pickups but hey I changed the pickups out in my fender strat. So IT'S NOT QUALITY THAT MAKES PRICE ITS POPULARITY.

Nice video, 5 Stars! I have an SX lap steel from Rondo Music. Had to adjust the bridge and lower it down to the body for better tone, left the bridge cover off, and changed the pickup with an EMG Select SES. I use thick glass slides, and it screams with my scooped octave distortions! SX are a little crudely made, but you get great instruments for the price, and you can swap better parts as needed. Bridge likely need setup at the very least. Guitars have straight necks, and Alder bodies.

if you have the locks on it shouldnt go out of tune too much ...if the strings are new wil go out heaps ...try not to go to crazy with the whammy though thats when it will go out heaps
