am a huge fan of your, love the good work. please can u make a pdf plan for this plane and also can u make a seaplane that flys on your video. thanks a lot
@hardexable No PDF's for the place. Check put my newest FPV V3 plane. It flies just as slow ans is WAY easier to make as has FREE PDF plans. Subscribe and keep following my vids I am working on an amphibious scratch build plane.
That is absolutely awesome.... great work! Perhaps it's my lack of aeronautics, but does the open bottom side of the wing actually help it fly more slowly or would a closed underside be better?
@bluedogtwo I'm not totally sure. But I think it may create slightly more lift with an open bottom however causes more drag. I did it to save weight and make building easier.
I dont care what anybody says your plane fly and fly nice and are very east to make if you have glue and foam board, and popsikle sticks,i made 2 so far with ease and my wings arent as long as they say in the specs and they still fly nice n smooth. Cheep is the key with these builds, you can spend as much as you want to but its just fine with cheep china stuff, mine sure are.I got vids if anybody needs proof of how awesome there planes can be.
but flying into the wind you can make a lot of rc planes fly slow, show us crosswind or downwind
what kind of range could this plane go? can you make it go faster to cover more distance and then slow down for filming, or is its range limited due to its slow speed?
@TheSawnoffshotgun I don't sell planes. I give the plans to make them away for free on my website. mikeysrc (DOT) com I don't have plans for this plane but my FPV V1 plane and Sport Trainer are grrat beginner planes.
@LINDANETA1 Unfortunatly I didn't make plans for this plane. BUT....I did make plans for another slow flying plane. got to my website vvvvvv (dot) mikeysrc (dot) com and you will find ALL my FREE PDF plans there =).
@joshtheidiotman Yeah I wish I had time too. But did you see my newest plane I just made? Check it out. It acomplishes almost the same goal and I'm going to make plans for it.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
what is FRV is that some kind of cardb oard material my email is rergen52@gmail.com I liked your video alot ant to try and build any thing you can tell me would be greatly apreciated thanks Ron Ergen
will you be making plans for this anytime soon? or at least post dimensions/stats because id like to build this one for a trainer type plane for myself. slow, self righting, floaty
I am looked all over your website for the PDF of this plane, i haven't able to find.. if there isn't any.. can you plz accept mine and everyone request and make one :( i really wanna built this one as my first plane :(
I have made a similar plane using a similar idea for the wing however I made the top surface of the wing more eliptical in shape (made cuts in the top surface every inch or so lengthwise then bent and formed it to the spars before taping the cuts) If flew REALLY well - now I'm working out the aspect ratio and considering covering the bottom of the wing with some clear plastic film to reduce drag. I constructed the body out of 2" styrofoam which worked really well! Thanks for the ideas 'mikey'!
@MikeysRC will do - I have three different sized wings (various aspect ratios) that all fit on the same aircraft. Kind of fun being able to interchange wings based on available flying space etc. Snowing here today but I'll get some pics on to your forum soon. Cheers!
@RoelandDNL Well basically the plane needed more pilot control input that I was happy with to fly in different flight conditions. And the wings were just a bit too large for the material and the way they were constructed. They had a slight warp to them which made for kinda weird flight characteristics.
@MikeysRC Ah yeah.. Depron should have been used for the wings.. Right? Much stronger :) (just kidding).. While I'm building this plane I do get the idea the wings should be fashoned from something else..
Ailerons with a gyro on this plane would steady it I think?
@RoelandDNL LOL yeah "BrtttleRon" or "ExpensiveRON" or "NeedstonsofcarbonfiberrodsRON"should be used =). The foam board was plenty strong but it just has a slight warp to it that really shows itself on larger wings like that. The stability issues were'nt so much on the roll but more with the pitch moment. I tried all sorts of different motor angles and CG balance points and none gave the plane the "hands off" flight chararistics I wanted.
@MikeysRC Ah yeah.. the pitch instability that showed on your slow pases right? I'll try this with a bigger tailwing / longer tail.. That should give it more stability in that direction...
Haha okee okee. I'll have a look see what can be done with the warping.. I cannot get thin foam board over here.. So I might have to resort to a thin sheet of Depron to close up the bottum's of the wings.. Should get that warping done with (?)
Quick responce (Y). Allright.. I'll take close look at the video then and just 'wing' it from there :). If I get around to trying a KF airfoil on it, I'll get you back on how that went
Hi Mikey, this is the plane that i'm loking for. I build last year your trainner, but i's so fast to me. I think this is the plane for me. Sorry my english but i'm from Brazil ok?
Hi Mikey, this is the plane that i'm loking for. I build last year your trainner, but i's so fast to me. I think this is the plane for me. Sorry my inglish but i'm from Brazil ok?
i love all of your videos and i am thinking of building this plane
but can i order the parts from the site for the netherlands
and what matrials need i to use for 100% perfection? i,m new to this whole hobby and dont want to spend 130 bucks for a plane that i destroy in 1 minute :)
You may not be able to change this too much now, but it looks a bit nose-heavy. You probably want to move the wings forward - closer to where the CG seems to be (based on how it nose-dove when you cut the power.) With a well balanced plane you'll use less battery because you won't have to have the prop spinning as hard to keep the nose up. Using less battery = longer cruise time. :) Best of luck. - Ed
I'm with the other guy, plans please... I was going to buy a SkyWalker for the same purpose but it looks like your plane has a better payload capability and I would love to build one, I'll donate.lol
wow that is just too cool, i am about to maiden my fpv gear on your first fpv plane you designed, but now i have to have this one, cant wait for the plans to be on your site, and i can get some foam board and get making this,
Are you going to do a FPV flight any time soon? Also i wonder where you take the time and energy to do these projects, well done, great, have safe flights
Well you really out did yourself this time. Cant wait to see the plans at Mikey's. Being as slow as it is, would it be a good plane to keep learning on after the trainer? Or does require a bit more skill?
@2010HeliPad Yup. Two layers of dollar tree foam board with a BBQ skewer in there for a little extra support. and a bunch of hot hlue at the "joints" where the struts bend to meet the wing and fuse.
Great job Will and i bet this will be a favourite for people to make as its for FPV and it breaks down so well for transport ;-) you have out done yourself this time mate ;-) they just keep getting better and better ;-) thumbs up as always man.
Fantastic!.. I love the fact it breaks down into smaller components!. One suggestion: Given the HUGE wing area, looks like you could use a bit more horizontal stabilizer and elevator area... You'd likely have better pitch control and more inherent stability. She may not be pretty, but it does what you designed it to do! Great job!
@GPSNOWisrael That's because there are no plans for it yet. I don't know if coroplast is the right material for this plane. IT will at least double the weigh of the airframe VS. the dollar tree foam I use.
Nice vid. Could you help me? I need (preferably) Capable of Slow and Fast, Quite maneuverable, Stable, and able to carry a lot of weight. Thanks! You're probably in my top 10 or 15 favorite channels on YT.
Very interesting idea to make a slow FPV flyier! Looking forward to see how it does in stronger winds, as a calm day is a rare thing in my area :) What flight times do you get from this with full load? And how much can it take on board and still fly nice? That HD camera looks pretty heavy so that's already impressive! :)
Move over CY-14. Will I think that's your best FPV plane so far. It would even make an excellent trainer because it flies so slow and smooth. Awesome, aswesome job as always!
I was just at your website to find out if you are selling an already built one like the one shown on the video which is perfect for a first timer like me ( with the camera of course ) but all you've got are plans. Trying to find a way to bond my my two sons who is always on the xbox playing black ops. using something they havent tried before. Just how much would an already built one cost including camera?
@ThePrayerHotline Rc is a great way to bond with your sons. I have done it and my son loves to play the Xbox. When it is a nice day out and I say let's go flying, he lays down the controller and says "lets go!"
Check out my vids of rc with him and my friends and if you want any more suggestions, pleas pm me,
Nice plane. Would you not get a smoother flight from a slightly higher aspect ratio? I like your wing design & and the take-apart-ability-ness. Great job! Thanks for another great video!
Wait a minute... Are you pushing that thing around with just a rudder & elevator? With flight stabilization system and ailerons, you would have a super stable slow flying platform for HDD! Hmmm...
Nice plane. Would you not get a smoother flight from a slightly higher aspect ratio? I like your wing design & and the take-apart-ability-ness. Great job! Thanks for another great video!
That is one heck of an UGLY plane! But you know what? I think it would be perfect for someone like me who wants to get into fpv flying.Seems way stable and slow enough to allow you to get use to fpv flying. Thumbs up Mikey!! You've done it again...lol
Really nice plane. hope plans for this and the pylon are ready for summer. the field were i fly has about a 3-4 plane a year disappearance rate so a nice slow plane like this with a fpv cam can circle like a buzzard like you said and find planes.. like the idea
I see you're going through the same COLD and wet weather as I am! I swear it's just too cold for California! I spotted snow on all the mountain tops and knew I wasn't going to be flying for awhile.... looks like you don't give a damn.
@batteryman54 I want too but it might take me a while. I got A-10 vids to make and also the Pylon Racer plans to make and more Pylon vids....not enough time =)

Great Plane!. Have you tried changing the angle of wings ? right now it seems to be zero. How about 5 or 10 degrees ?
Also why did you not keep the upper surface of wings as a smooth curve instead of a triangular profile ? Is the triangular profile better ?

i want to build that plane now lolz

Nice plane. Would you not get a smoother flight from a slightly higher aspect ratio? I like your wing design & and the take-apart-ability-ness. Great job! Thanks for another great video!

Whoops! Accidentally almost pressed thumbs down... Big thumbs up, of course. Sorry! :P

I wonder how well it could ride thermals with those big wings.

that is a very nice FPV platform to have as it can carry cameras and fly very slow

Ever thought about attaching solor panels to it for loooooong flights?

That is one heck of an UGLY plane! But you know what? I think it would be perfect for someone like me who wants to get into fpv flying.Seems way stable and slow enough to allow you to get use to fpv flying. Thumbs up Mikey!! You've done it again...lol

This plane is so ugly it's beautiful! Would you recommend this as a first trainer?

Like it Will. I finally reckon that there is a platform stable and slow enough for my Old man to learn RC aircraft with.
Thanks for your hard work!

Seems like you need to have the trottle on while youre flying, is it a lot of drag in that plane? - A little work with the aerodynamics might help!
-great fpv plane, great video

Really nice plane. hope plans for this and the pylon are ready for summer. the field were i fly has about a 3-4 plane a year disappearance rate so a nice slow plane like this with a fpv cam can circle like a buzzard like you said and find planes.. like the idea

Looks like a great plane for fpv! Might I suggest the name "Juggernaut" :)

There is more vertical stab surface area infront of the CoG than at the back. Im not really sure it matters but it might make it fly a bit weird

I see you're going through the same COLD and wet weather as I am! I swear it's just too cold for California! I spotted snow on all the mountain tops and knew I wasn't going to be flying for awhile.... looks like you don't give a damn.
