The problem ppl have with these f2p games is that they feel they HAVE to buy everything, they HAVE to be the best have the best instantly. The problem isn't f2p games or thier cash shops, it is the attitudes of players thinking it isn't fun unless they can steam roll everything. Or have the top of the top gear etc. Enjoy the journey the social aspect. Most of these games do offer gear and items without buying them. You just have to work for them and be patient....

@ChannelHMC It really depends on the game. Back when Allods was still in beta they released a patch that made it so that your gear would get randomly cursed, and your combat against mobs was reduced so you could no longer defeat same-level mobs... /unless/ you bought items from the cash shop, or from the auction house that others had bought from the cash shop... at a heck of a premium.

@PspHacker4lyfe No, nearly anything you need in cash-shop can be gotten through normal play. There are daily quests to get Incense which gives you the buffs you need to level and kill things. And other items you might need can be bought by trading large amounts of gold. Near higher levels (when you start to need those), gold starts to roll in faster than you could spend it anyway! So you're pretty much given the gold to buy CS items in-game without spending a single dime.

I first played this game litereally a week after the beta because my friends on steam were playing it. I got to level 5 with a Arisen Heretic but got kind of boring and looked like a hobo WoW.

After seeing you videos I redownloaded it and put more focus into it and is really really fun and unique from WoW.

@tgnAllods I look at it this way if i were playing wow, which i use to that 15$ a month assures me everything in the game except for vanity pets and the dumb celestial steed. when you play f2p when there are required things you need to buy ifor eng game content and such it kinda kills the game for alot of people honestly would you rather stick with a 15$ sub or if you have a job spending a bunch of money on things that really shouldn't exist in the game. btw what realm are you guys on?

Like this game for example, they put multi million dollars into making this game, they have to be able to make that money back as well as generate money for upkeep, updates and new content. It takes money and a lot of it to keep these kinds of games running and to keep playerbase.

@zerros098 I think it's one of the best Free to plays around, in fact it's better than a lot of monthly fee games. Leveling can slow down pretty quick, but you can still have a lot of fun for free. If anything it's worth trying, hit the link above.
