  • This song (performed by Kenny) was featured in A Song For Europe in 1962 ... it didn't get chosen for Eurovision ... Ronnie Carroll's "Ring A Ding Girl" went through instead.

  • proberly the best song ive ever heard from kenny lynch on hmv label

    marc in bletchley

  • Very nice!

  • This was the B-side, and was much better than the A-side "Doll Face", which I bought in the 60s. Avoid the Marginal CD of Kenny's songs due to poor quality [vinyl sourced]

  • Billy did a song on the 1962 film 'Play It Cool' called 'I Think Your Swell' and a video of this track has been posted by m8united. 'There's Never Been A Girl' reminds me of that one in lots of ways. I've played your Kenny Lynch track to death, It's fab.

  • i have the film on dvd. I watch it lots lol, i can see what ya mean now.

  • I've just come across this track and having never heard it before I have become hooked on it. I must have missed this one first time around. Is it one of his B sides? It's so catchy. Reminds me of a Billy Fury song. I shall have to play it over and over. Thanks for that.

  • it probably is a b side cos its not listed in guiness book of records. Would love to know which billy fury song it reminds you off as he is my all time fave artist :o)

  • @QueenForTonight Definitely an A-side release for Kenny in early 1962 ... and amazingly didn't chart. It was played as a new release on BBC's Pick Of The Pops on Feb 18th 1962.

  • Sorry for poor vid, only did it for the song :o)
