I only see one person from the original group, Errol Buddle, although Eddie Gaston did play on a couple of AJQ's late 50's albums. Yes, the "flute" looks and sounds like a piccolo. Overall this group does not sound at all like the classic AJQ, where you had Buddle on bassoon & tenor sax, Dick Healey on flute and alto sax, Jack Brokensha on vibraphone, and Bryce Rohde on piano.
