Strange when I see most of pictures of german panzer, there where more like box-like armor.... how long will the germans find out about sloped-armour design from the Russian, and build a new panzer tank.
@Assaultwarfare The Germans knew that slopped armor was better but they saw no need for it. The PzIII was a good reliable tank easy to mass produce. From 1939 until 1941 it could take on any tank. So for 3 years they had great success and they captured all of Europe. But by 1941 their armies where thinly stretched across Europe and when the Russian introduced the T34 which had slopped armor, that was the weak up call for the Germans. By 1943 they made the PzV Panther, the best tank of the war.
@BandOfBrothers25 Agreed, After Stalingrad Hitler's generals recommend a Mobile defense strategy, but Hitler refused and told his Commanders to hold at all cost which led to the destruction of multiple German army's. :)
It's so interesting watching the interviews of actual WW2 veterans. Fantastic that they have been filmed & documented for future generations.
