Man, hardcore represents such a wide spectrum of lifestyles and ideologies. While one of the central tenets of hardcore is to "have no rules" and "think for yourself" type world view, I think there are some undeniable commonalities rooted in rebellion against a status quo. I wonder where Jimmy Gestapo's girlfriend is now? Its funny how at this time you had the Revolution Summer stuff comin' up in DC. It just sucks when hardcore/punk becomes self defeating resistance and self destructive...
No one is really saying much of jack shit... Ray is the only person holding it down; if only they'd let him fu*king speak! HardCore is so much more than talking out beef. They shoulda just interviewed Ray right here. lol
most punk is left wing, as is most hard core. very few bands espoused any kind of right wing rhetoric, apart from the odd "working class pride" type songs, most were about unity & the racist skinheads were not tolerated.
you need to put your ann coulter books down & learn about hard core & what it means, because you are clearly misinformed.
representing so well? are you kidding? this interview is a joke. no one explains what hard core punk is, where it originated from or any of that. it's just that nancy spungen wannabe flirting like a slut with the host whilst everyone else sits there looking stupid.
@kgirl1306 what are you talking about?

I like alot of NYHC bands & have done since the late 80s...but none of these people give a very good account of themselves in this stupid interview.
the women look & sound like groupies with no interest in music.

also, i guess Regis had never heard of a straight-edge (sXe) punk. i'm quite friendly with some straight-edge vegans in punk bands.
