Sol did a half-arsed job for customers. He wanted to hold back the NBN simply because it would be competition; never-mind the benefit to customers seen already with increased competition merely in anticipation of the NBN. He wanted to keep us a backwater for him and his bend yankee mates to milk or farm. He has no respect for democracy. Glad he's gone.
I like Next G in my area my uncle gets like 5-7MB/s after bout 8pm-6am and from 6am-8pm he gets like 4-6MB/s DL bit I still like the good old Fashion ADSL2+ specially since the data caps are higher Telstra Least Needs to bump all the minium caps to at least 30GB cause I go through 12GB in 16 days

lol realworld speeds: under 8mbps (under 850kb/sec).
I believe they only have to guarantee 500-1.5mbps (50-160kb/sec) which is equal or less than regular wired ADSL speeds.

In perspective, I pay $89 for 60gb 8mbit wired ADSL with iinet... no wireless dropouts!
