Out of all the wrecks I have seen personally. I would say the Joe Hawksby Sr wreck when his throttle stuck. That was one of the worst and he was very fortunate that they had foam blocks at the time. He hit that wall so hard the whole place went silent and there was nothing left of the foam he hit.
wow wat a spectacle that must have been 20 years ago, when the supermodified as we know it today was just being formed nutz right there id have to say that would be better to watch than todays 70 grand cars
well now i guess we can all say that oswego speedway was way and i mean WAY ahead of nascars softwalls. they put that foam in YEARS before NASCAR even thought of SAFER barriers. so once again they make it llok like NASCARS the big deal when Your local track s where its at

WOW i was only a 3 years old when i first went there which was about 1988 and i barly remember seeing the Modifieds go around in practice but geezz the track doesn't even look like it had any lights back then
i have season tickets to osweg. tomorrow is cca-cola kick-off. im ging. and it was otto sitterlys car that caught fire. he was knocked out cuz he hit the inside wall when his throttle stuck. did u see mikey barnses stuck throttle last year. that was bad. he broke both ankles
that video is amazing. cherish it for i will. thanku so much for sharing. i hate to c any super crash but the memories r pricless. thank god they use the foam blocks now. some of those looked bad.
Wow...some of those definitely fit the "mayhem" description...Sure makes me glad to know there are foam blocks in the corners and much better lighting there these days...

The Steel Palace is one tough place to be sure.
I watch them today crash into the foam and shake my head. The days before the foam were nuts.

thats befoore the new lighting system. Yah, it was very dark back then. I remember you could barely see anything back then
