Good. Galaxy was definitely the best game that year, and is probably one of the best games ever made. It's right up there with DKC2 and Banjo-Kazooie. Some of the comments from these 360 fanboys are extremely ignorant and quite frankly embarrassing to the company of Microsoft.

2007 Was a great year. I consider Super Mario Galaxy, Team Fortress 2 and Mass Effect as some of my favorite games of all time. I think Mass Effect 2 has a bigger chance this year because they got rid of many of the technical issues and the superior PC version was released on the same day so that counts as well. Super Mario Galaxy 2 look brilliant as well but I don't think IGN wants to repeat itself. And who knows, they might even release Zelda Wii before the year is over though that's unlikely.
This is the stupidest list ever. Where the fuck is Halo? These decisions should be based on public reaction and how the game revolutionized things. Both COD4 and Halo 3 revolutionized multiplayer. And why is Orange Box on this list? Its not a game. Its a collection of games in one box. So if i put all these games in a single box, would that be the best game ever?

I mean I love Mario 64 and the original Nintendo series and snes series, but galaxy was a great game, but mass effect and bioshock are still better, for i judge games based on story and game play.(And no I don't play just shooters)

As for the bio shock question, no I dont know any other game that had (plasmids). But considering there just power you shoot from your hands, its the same thing as magic. And there are ALOT of games with that in it. Even some of the first FPS had that in them. So ya I can think of alot!

2007 Was a great year. I consider Super Mario Galaxy, Team Fortress 2 and Mass Effect as some of my favorite games of all time. I think Mass Effect 2 has a bigger chance this year because they got rid of many of the technical issues and the superior PC version was released on the same day so that counts as well. Super Mario Galaxy 2 look brilliant as well but I don't think IGN wants to repeat itself. And who knows, they might even release Zelda Wii before the year is over though that's unlikely.

This is the stupidest list ever. Where the fuck is Halo? These decisions should be based on public reaction and how the game revolutionized things. Both COD4 and Halo 3 revolutionized multiplayer. And why is Orange Box on this list? Its not a game. Its a collection of games in one box. So if i put all these games in a single box, would that be the best game ever?

*sigh* and Galaxy 2 is probably gonna win GOTY this year. Because IGN just gave it a 10. Apparently, making minor improvements to gameplay was not enough for God of War 3, but it was for Mario Galaxy.

@dknaj That's because unlike GOW3, Galaxy 2's improvements advance the core gameplay in news ways. There's no bias, it's just that Mario games are some of the best in the industry.

Super Mario Galaxy well deserved this award. Anybody who says otherwise is somebody who has never tried a Mario game and just judges them or some idiot who only likes to plat mature, violent fps games.

I mean I love Mario 64 and the original Nintendo series and snes series, but galaxy was a great game, but mass effect and bioshock are still better, for i judge games based on story and game play.(And no I don't play just shooters)

can I name a shooting RPG....... well not other then system shock1, system shock 2,Deus Ex (all 3 of them) borderlands, even RE and Doom (to a certain extent)
As for the bio shock question, no I dont know any other game that had (plasmids). But considering there just power you shoot from your hands, its the same thing as magic. And there are ALOT of games with that in it. Even some of the first FPS had that in them. So ya I can think of alot!

@JonHakkers comparing bioshock to other shooters. The reason I said that is because, the guy I was talking to said shooters never change. So I told him to compare Bioshock to Wolfenstein 3d, which is the first shooter ever made.(to my knowledge).

@Seargent363 Yeah it was either wolfenstein 3D or some duke nukem game Anyway Bioshock is the most unique shooter ever in my opinion. Its my personal favorite game of all time and its quite possibly the best shooter ever created

@JonHakkers Yeah. Can't wait for Bioshock Infinite after the disappointing Bioshock 2. Also check out the System Shock series if you haven't already. For they are made by the same guys who made Bioshock.

Because it's a typical FPS game, nothing new, and stays that way for ever, I'd like to see it evolve not stay like that for ever, Plus I don't see anything unique in it at all and if you think it's the best game of all time, please learn more games.
