CGI is prerendered. In game graphics are rendered in real-time by the Graphics Processors in the PS3 and 360. In their current state, it is impossible to render in-game graphics at that kind of level.

Sonic Unleashed - Werehog= A great game to buy.

the sonic levels are great. but i think they were on to something with the werehog...........in my oppinion try the werehog one more time but change the concept behind it. one make it a seperate character so we dont have to always switch to him. like make him a boss or something so that we can keep playing at the speed we all like. give him another chance and make him playable in some other sonic game. but for heavens sake please make him faster.

Well the werehog was the only way they could have Sonic take on swarms of robots and do platforming. They wanted Sonic to fight the enemies, and they decided it may be more fun and work better than spindashes and homing attack jumps, especially in large numbers of enemies. Reminded me of Billy Hatcher actually, another underrated game from Sonic Team.

I'm a BIG sonic Freak and to be honest this game could have been A LOT better. I liked the day stages but the night ones sucked, and the last boss was way too easy.
