  • do you sell the battery and charger with the ship?

  • Very cool.

  • shoulda made it bigger just sayin

  • my step dad made a plexi- glass hull and 9ft long Yamato and his designs are correct urs hardly looks like it and he makes it from scratch

  • @alexandavogel Nobody cares.

  • my step dad made a plexi- glass hull and 9ft long Yamato and his designs are correct urs hardly looks like it

  • So... this is just advertisement?

  • just wait tell the bismarck comes along if the americans had it

  • Are it's main gun turrets turned electrically, or have you just moved them by hand? ;)

  • now all you need an american battleship to sink it.

  • @krisspacker1995 even tho it has one working prop, just making it prolly took a lot of effort and time, show some respect

  • has nobody realised 1 ITS CHEAP AS HELL! it only has 1 working prop!

  • you have a large pool good sir.

  • i wish i was there to through M80's at it.

  • Well done, but will it travel 198,000 light years and back... in just one earth year?

  • @thexsoar Ohohoho, I see what you did there!

  • Love to shoot that thing with an airgun!!

  • Where is the Bismarck?^^

  • can it guns shoot

  • I am a red blooded Texan, but the Yamato and Musashi were the most beautiful battleships ever built. They were used improperly during the war (thankfully) but that doesn't take away from the awesome size, and great lines the ships had.

IMO easily the most graceful and elegant battleships ever built and mayube the most beautiful warships of any kind ever put to sea.

  • Hey it even has little Nips on the deck.

  • bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • nice job - it looks great!!! HOW BIG IS IT?

  • Is this the Tamiya kit?

  • so on dioramanet does it come withe the controler and battery and everything that u need

  • How were the propellers manufactured, bought or...???

  • As much as I like the Iowa Class, I have to give it up to the Yamato for having the best looking profile of all time.

  • Super Yamato's are way nicer looking

  • Sooo...you gunna run it around off Okinawa and use it as a stationary gun platform? =P

  • I am trying to figure out how to convert my model. What is the size of the props and where did you get em. How about the greaseboxes?

  • it is very detailed and the speed is just right nice boat

  • It just needs some more weight at the bottom to look more stable and soak up the water line

  • I have a question to ask: Is a 1/350 scale battleship that is RC like this Yamato here a bit too small and unstable? For all I know those 1 metre long ship models fare better for RC... but I am planning to buy a USS Arizona model to convert to RC so can someone advise me about the shipworthiness of that model in water?

  • Fantastic! Well done!

  • wonderfull!

  • There is a slight similarity between the USS Missouri and the Yamato.

  • both long as fuck with 9 giant guns on 3 turrets.

  • The Japanese made the guns bigger than the Versailles Congress told them to do.

When the Americans saw that, they said "If they don't play fair, why should we do that ?"

  • American should gets 20" gun. that will show them!

  • They got a 28 cm triple naval gun, and they deserved it.

  • Yamato looks 100 times better.

  • Wrong: Bismark's secondary armament was 150 mm guns. She never embarked any 208mm gun.

  • wish RC's this size could shoot ultra light airsoft rounds that float, be great for airsoft rc wars

  • I'd recognize that meandering national anthem anywhere.

  • wish there was 1 battleship that can move its guns plus shots deep charge and cannons plus torpedos and shows light and famously its call sign: babooooooooooooo!!!!!!

  • yomato wuz sunk in operation tengo

  • la piu grande corazzata del mondo YAMATO

anche io ho costruito il modello della tamiya molto bella avevo mio figlio piccolo è lo portata in una fontana del parco a farla navigare

  • nice model you have there!! anyway what materials do you need to built it?(just asking)

nice i will rate 5 stars!!

  • I dont build ship models (i build planes) but is there some way you can slow down the propeler so the ship moves at a more regular speed, not saying its bad or anything,I love it.

  • yeah that would be easy, cams and a drive belt. you might need a larger propellor though? im not sure if having one that small moving slower would be enough to get the ship moving?

  • real ships are not desinged to get this close to shore but your models are interesting i think this ahs been done before though!

  • 有钱人=..=

  • where did you get it i want 1

  • look at ebay...

  • Nice Model! That's one well guarded swimming pool lol.

  • It the motorized 1/350 Tamiya model?

  • Great detailing! Great music! Love it!

  • 做的工艺还算不错~~~

  • this music.. what is it? I MUST HAVE IT!

  • The first song? It is Reign of the Emperor, Japans national anthem. Sorry, I dont know the other.

  • nice soundtrack:))

  • If this sinks, will the engines and stuff be useless? or is it waterproof..

  • of course its waterproof

  • I really hate to be a critic ,but something has to be done to quiet the elec motor. It really cheapens the whole thing....Great model, great job

  • fine if it was a film about the Yamato or whatewer, but this is a video showing how a model works, so the noise is too an important INFORMATION about it

  • @hamace I would add that it needs ballast, because she rides way too high in the water, and the motor provides too great a power-to-weight ratio.

  • @hamace He could've used a smaller electric motor bolted down with rubber washers and using a pair of 'C' or 'D' cells (to lower the draught some) with probably the actual scale propellor. As it is now it's going a bit fast (to scale).

It is a very Nicely done kit and the motor system is fairly easy to replace. (I used to love doing this to my ship kits!)

  • Hello, I plan on buying this model soon, but want to put it together myself. Do you by any chance sell just the parts needed to make it RC?

  • @centroeuropa Unlike the real one.

  • The Yamato was loaded with 9 20 inch guns 3 guns on each turret mount, this was a big ship unfortunatly it was sunk in the 1942-1943 area:| the only Jap BB that survived was the Nagato it was a BB-3 i think

  • wow get your facts straight yamato had 9 18 inch guns cause 20 inch would be crazy and yah 3 barrels mounted per turret. it was sunk during the Okinawa invasion of 1945!

  • Ran across this...The Yamato sailed into the Okinawa Battle Zone with one light cruiser and eight destroyers but no air cover. At 08:23 on April 7, 1945 she was spotted by a U.S. plane. The first attack came at 12:32, and she was hit by 5 bombs and 10 torpedos, then sank on April 7, 1945 at 14:32 with 2,488 men of her crew of 2,767 on board. The light cruiser escort and 4 of the destroyers went down with her. (Just to confirm, had nine 18 inch guns on board.) Left Japan with only the Haruna...

  • The Yamato was sent on a death mission to distract American planes so kamikazes could attack US aircraft carriers. It was the biggest battle ship ever built.

  • Because she was the largest battleship ever built, I think the Japanese knew the day they started construction that she would be one of the primary targets of the Allied forces. Her sinking pretty much marked the end of the battleship era...

  • Yeah for sure, I also argued in a paper I wrote that it was the final death of the Samurai/military class. Symbolically of course, but I think it was. Went as far as to call the Yamato proper the last samurai.

  • No it was the 3rd (soon to be forth) biggest naval ship ever built. It would be about 20th biggest ship. #1 is the Knock nevis.

  • i never knew a Yamato battleship had a turret with 3 cannons. Awesome!!!

  • yup, sure they did, and the biggest cannon that was ever used on any ships.

  • DUDE THIS IS TOTALLY COOL! AWESOME

jee wish i had one too

  • Could you Imagine this being the real size of the Yamato? That'd be as funny as hell! Still good work.

  • Where did you get this?!!!!!

  • i built it, look at dioramanet (dot) com

  • I love to see models like this one in the water, not just sitting on a shelf

  • Sweet Yamato battleship! Who does the gregorian chant song towards the middle and end of the video!?! Cool song.

  • scary man if japanese during WWII had a yamato battleship THIS fast

  • Great Job 5*

    Yamato is great Battleship

    Whats Soundtrack? 1:02-5:39

  • Wow. VERY nice ship. good job! Nice pool as well.

  • I built the sister ship MUSASHI when I was like 11. I do remember when I bought It it was around 5,500 yen so 200 euros to me is a ripoff..

    Tamiya is awsome anyways

  • Be awesome if you could control the turrets to turn.

  • I agree. It's cool, but it should run much slower for a more scale look and better sound.

  • it seems stable but it won't go fast

  • yes it is very cool. My uncle has one and it is a master piece. I got the space one :D

  • かっこいいなぁ

  • how much does the modell cost?

  • how much is one of them

  • it be cooler if the gun work and when it has a fireing effect.

  • thatd be funny acctually lol

  • Japanese National Anthem

  • the the uss lexxingtron carryer could kick the the crap out of yamamoto infact it in 1945

  • you spelled half of it wrong. Lexignton. Carrier. Yamaoto

  • it still could

  • Haha your spelling is an embarrassment. Carriers and Battleships are two totally different types of ships. The strength of a carrier is it's aviation. If a battleship did manage to close with a carrier, the carrier would be meat.

  • How many models you have?

  • Yamato travels at 11 knots ._.

    Lolz.....nevertheless,it's a nice model,well done.

  • I must add it is a very good model and congratulations for that and posting your video

  • dude, where did u get that modle? thats cool. ill buy it from u!

  • just check the link on "ABOUT THIS VIDEO"

  • Now thats a toy ;)

  • The world's largest battleship

  • She needs more ballast or something.. the model's too high in the water. That'd make it more stable and look awesome because it wont bob as much and make it look that much more fierce..

Big shame the Yamato (or the Iowa class ships either) never got a chance to see some fierce Jutland-style combat though...

  • dont know if you know this but that red part of the bottom of the ship is supposed to be in the water so it is riding really high out of the waters, just put like a 10lb weight in the front and back or something eh?

be cool if you could shoot that and have mini battleship wars in your backpool w/ ur friend

  • Saw very little action and was only a display of sea power and not a match for the technically advanced Iowa class and Bismark

  • "Saw very little action and was only a display of sea power and not a match for the technically advanced Iowa class and Bismark"

are you serious? the iowa also only did as much work in bombard and carrier essort role, the age of BB was at an end when these 2 giants were built. yamato is definitely rank up there.

  • Yes the Yamoto was up there but I think a symbol of sea power only, an awesome sight and no doubt the reason why she was bombarded so heavily in her last voyage that was doomed, a bit like Winston Churchill, we have to sink the Bismark, the Yamoto sunk to maximise the prestige of the attacking U.S navy

  • Its funny to see the world´s greates battleship represented in a little model

  • Really cool. I've always liked the yamammoto from the days of 'star blazers' where they made it into a space ship. Would like to get into that. Where did you buy it ?

  • Aw thats cute lol

  • i just got the same one but i cant get the propellers to spin properly.

  • got it wrong there dude, that's not a toy. that's a battleship model.

  • アメリカ潰せ

  • sweet boat but if u custom made it i am wonderin cause i seen other boats with it like bb guns(the plastic shooting bullet rounds not explosive shells used in war o.O) i wonder how it would shoot lol

it would be sweet if u can make the bbs shoot and leave a trail of smoke 1cm after the shot like the real one did that would own

  • the best video ever... a ships that has only one of her props working...

  • i know it can give this impression but if you look (even if the youtube quality is not good) on the secons 13-14 you can see the left propeller working

  • Have the same at home:)

  • Lucky you!

  • I want one!!!!!!!

  • me too!

  • Looks beautiful but needs more ballast to sit lower and more stable.

  • I am now building the same model... Good yob :-)

  • good job matey..

  • Cute

  • lol look at all the enemy in the pool

  • lol...uh yeahhhh......

  • hey i got that one :P (if its what i think it is anyway) is it the "tamiya" yamato box set? if so i got that one and the model of the tirpitz

  • is it scrach built or a model if so i will have to get me one

  • Nice, Ive built the Tirptiz in the same size model myself.

  • i wish someone would make a 10 foot scale model..

    that would be something..

  • im already on it XD. not litterally. will be good tho XD

  • nice 5/5 stars

  • Nice...I am in the process of waterproofing my 1/350 RC Yamato. Did you put in any bilge compartment? How did you manage to keep the water from the propeller from spraying into the hull? thx... =)

  • Whit graise, there are graise compartiments.

  • nice

  • This makes building a swimming pool worthwhile.

  • All you need now is a 1/350 USS Hornet carrier and Lt. Commander Wood's Helldiver squadron.

  • no coz its a beautiful model. STAY AWAY!!! :P

  • Beautiful model, gotta mix in the theme to "space battleship yamato"

  • That is friggin awesome.

  • You know Your Yamato model and Your Bismarck Rock. You sould do a video witht those two showing them fighting.

  • needs balast-super cool

  • Thanks, yes i said it in my models page, its no problem to ad some ballast.

  • nice but such a nice model should be a static display...

  • its up to you to let the model on display... you can indeed buy it... Thanks!

  • I have that model but its not rc sadly i might put some submarine motors on my, and im getting the Musashi for christmas god i cant wait.

  • MAN That is one cool model. How you made it RC?

  • you can see how on some of the models of the webpage models.centroeu.com. This model is for sale on Ebay under the number 110063647636. Thanks, SM

  • Is the ship battle-worthy? or is it just a RC ship?
