I know the feeling Chugga, I wanted it so bad, and then I finally got it. And I loved It so much. I kept playing then I got to floor 5 of Citadel of Spiders, then the game froze. I tried to restart the game, wouldn't even make it to the tittle screen. Deleted the game data from my memory card, started over completely, got to floor 5 of Citadel of Spiders, same thing happened. To this day I have never got any farther in the game. :(

When its dead, the stones it rides on crumble and it turns into a PENGUIN??? Its also translucent, like its deadly form. The penguin will waddle around the floor and will not harm you. You can kill it and it will vanish...You will be no more troubled...CORRECTION FROM FIRST COMMENT! You can kill it in Submerged Castle. Ya need pikmin and purple potions...OBVIOUSLY. It will drop an item too, called the Professional Noisemaker. I read this off a website, so I didnt try this...

The waterwraith can ACTUALLY be killed...but not in Submerged Castle. Like chuggaa said before he entered it, you can only take in BLUE Pikmin. You cannot kill it in Submerged castle, but there is a level in CHALLENGE MODE where you can kill it, Bully Den. You need any color pikmin, mostly purples, Purple Potions, and skill. First, rather make the purple pikmin ground pound to stun it or use the purple potion. It will turn purple. Then attack it with pikmin. When purple it will become vunerable

@trickster20rj doesnt hurt the waterwraith, especially not while its on its stone wheel. wont work unless you have purple pikmin for it (you wont until the last sublevel of this dungeon), and even then the purple potion tends to have a miniscule effect.
