  • no one has ever been able to play like Elrod or Herrell in the later versions of this band. The had a totally unique approach to the bass and drums.

  • all hail the rev. steve austin. hey hey hey hey hey....smoke weed and slay!!!

  • Bran from mastodon used to drum for them. I've seen them close to a dozen times, some of them not intentionally. They stayed in my friend's dorm room in 1994. Steve is good people, even though he pretty much controls everything the "band" does. Gave me a free hoodie he did. Very innovative musician.

  • You kind of have to see bands like this in person to fully understand them.

If my first exposure to hardcore/noise rock/whatever music was a YouTube video with muffled sound, I'm not so sure I would understand it either.

You have to know what you're listening for. You have to realize that so much of what we're hearing can never perfectly translate to video given the high volume of the performance.

There's a learning curve involved in listening to this and that's kind of the reward.

  • can i put a skull on it or something more menacing on it to fit in with all the the stupid metal fucks...maybe you like steve now..this is why we separated.....kinda like tool..let all the dumb metal people fall one way ..and the others....dont wanna get on a pedestal...this is the division...do you follow ?

  • ah, the amrep days...

  • TODAY IS THE DAY IS AWESOME, when you think that you're metal or hardcore or punk and then go around shit talking other bands just cause you dont get it, you're probably not listening to the real music, and think that metal/hardcore/punk needs to be saved and revived or whatever, fuck the posers!

heavy music will always be in the underground.

  • heavy music will always be in the underground

  • bunch of fukktards who post negative opinions of a band and music they struggle to understand.

get it right steve austin/today is the day, a man/band who has influenced, produced, engineered, recorded and played with so many of the same guys that wide-mouths like yourselves mouth-hug on the regular. go back to school, do your homework, then maybe you can swallow your idiot words before they choke you.

  • They ain't really that good, thats one thing I have to say, maybe cuz' it's not always my type, but yeah

  • Its supposed to sound like discords.... Its not bad really. Post punk and post hxc sorta. The point is to sound abrasive. If you dont like it fine but if you cant listen to it then you arent punk.

  • Not much love for Today Is The Day? Oh well, I know they blew my mind and were one of the best live bands I ever saw.

  • give me the drums and we'll call it even for making me listen to this shit

  • what the fuck is this? i love metal but this shit is really really out there. i heard cats fuck with more harmony than this

  • Bassist is waaay to animated for such a shitty player.

  • my apologies...it's really just my feelings...not fake....and you sir......show me what you have to offer......where are you from.....little spoiled rich white boy

  • Well you sure seem a little bit illiterate for how old you are you pathetic waste of life! I surely am much better than you but when I play I don't make an assclown out of myself you stupid cunt crawl back into your little cave.

  • @javiermartin9 Gotta problem with white boys? I'm not spoiled, I'm white ,and poor, and i'll stomp your ass into the dirt! Watch the "white boy" shit. It's not like people on here are calling you a spick.

  • is this a video of dying animal sounds

  • worst thing i could ever here

  • Three minutes of ear torture. I would rather listen to a garbage truck...way more musical.

  • Not quite Lincoln Brewster's version, huh?

  • lmao

  • elrod is god

  • Wow that sucked

  • wow you suck

  • the guy cant scream, the guitar playing was horrible, it sucked

  • i thought this was lincoln brewster, today is the day. i like this version of it btw. ;]

  • Nice, Reminds me of Norma Jean! Only need better recording eqiptment and woule be SICK!

  • Fock you. You CALL YOURSELF a master? But you haven't heard enough today is the day to make an educated comment about the video you see.

    Fuuck you.

    Die.

I'm not even going to click on your name. I know you're not.

    Kill yourself.

    Watch more TV.

You're the retard eating chicken wings.

  • duh. Dumb comment. Even though they really had some songs there... there are many many bands i would prefer like botch, dillinger, shora, oxes, slint, Meshuggah?...you name it... Funny tho, willpower is in my car and i listen to it every day i drive to work ;)

    "You..are the universe" *lol*

  • yea i agree. Meshuggah has some of the most precise drumming I've ever heard.

As of Dillinger, Chris Pennie has to be amongst the best of the best when it comes to drumming. Not really a Gil Sharon fan.

  • This is music??? Its like watchin a retard eat chicken wings

  • herrell & elrod... when they left. so did my love for this band. the Clusterfuck 7", Supernova, Willpower... them shits is diamonds!

I have no idea what the hell TITD is today.

  • tuxed junction was the shit

  • willpower was the best

  • cool to see footage of the band when i was in it and writing and performing.really hard to find and it's been so long.thanks for all the good comments and would love to see more footage or hear more from all of you.steve's been thru so many line ups it's good to see people remembering the first t.i.t.d........thanks....mike herrell

  • Your bass playing in ye oldie days is quite nice to hear.

  • i saw you for Willpower tour in France. For me, the best band & show of the world of this time.

    Arno

  • You got any other shows taped from barristers?

  • Thanks so much...first time I saw was 1993...great and changed my perspective on music.

  • Never disappoints

  • hands and knees.....love that track. thanks a lot for this footage of titd in their best time. wanna see more.

  • Thanks for posting this. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of footage out there of the original line-up. They're still one of the best bands I have ever seen. And swell guys too.

  • Check out Steve's Supernova Records. There's DVDs of the Willpower and S/T albums performed live in their entirety recorded in that same era.

  • just playing around on my friend's youtube account and found my old band on here.what a trip....would love to see and hear more....thanks for remembering the magic of the old t.i.t.d. was a big part of my life. .................mike herrell

  • Steve Austin is a maniac. I like when he tries to devour the micrphone live.
