People were talking about how noone plays on XBox Live anymore. Well, I learned why about a week ago. The ones that are playing live are playing with mods, and you have no chance against them. I went one on one against an Intrepid class & he took two phaser shots and completely depleted my shields-and I was in a Sovereign class-that shouldn't happen. Another match and a guy had a mod-Defiant, and he was able to shoot right through my shields. Felt like I was fighting the bloody Dominion or Borg.

Sub-system targeting along with repairing and power distribution are essential components to being decent at the game. The next most useful thing to learn is ship positioning (how you move around your enemies with your ship(s)), and how you use your warp drive tactically. Every map also has unique features that can either help or hider you such as nebulae (which have varying effects) and planets (which disrupt your warp drive). Learning the game's controls is key.

I play the PC version. If I go online on PC can I play against people who play the game on XBox? I'm pretty good at the game I would say and would love to play against someone else but no one is ever playing multiplayer :(.

My favorite ships a probably the Defiant and Intrepid for the Federation. :D

Its kinda funny how you dont know how to use your sub targeting systems, thus having a better tactical advantage over your enemy. Also repairing your ships and changing the power preferences to wepons, shields ect ect good game tho :)

a great idea bad poorly executed. ubisoft ruined this one. the ships should also had life support status and many other areas to damage.

I know you posted that a month ago, but seriously...I'd read up on it before posting who 'ruined' this game (I actually personally love it, despite the flaws....and the mods for PC are excellent.)

You keep on changing Sub systems. To target sub systems, Turn it on, then press and hold a and more hte left stick to which system you want to target. Btw if anyone wants to play me online send me a PM.

You'll always have to update. If an update gets released, thne verybody will use it.

btw. Chris Jones Gaming opened Hamachi servers for UUM. (I'm not sure if they still exist)

well in the demon on 360 you have 4 ships to control then you go to battle and like tell your crew to fix your armour and shilds itsm really fun

I got the pc version of the game and its really not that great. I mean it has really good graphics and all, but its just not that fun. I would not recommend it unless u are real hard core star trek fan.

i got the pc game and i like it im not a hard core star trek fan...i dont think i have even seen 1 season of it...but anyway i have the game and i really like it. my friends play multiplayer all the time and i think its pretty good. some ppl just suk at playing and rating games
