@disturbedpatrick i'm not exactly sure but it has something to do with he got the arm back b/c he had to sacrifice the arm to get back al's soul, it didn't have anything to do with transmuting their mom....but really there isn't a reason why he didn't get his leg back...

@Kimmoodles I think I remember Al telling Mrs. Hughes that Ed kept the leg not only because he only had the "Al's soul=exchange for an arm" thing but also because he wanted to keep it as some sort of reminder.

@disturbedpatrick actually, he didnt get his leg back due to his own choice. truth said he could 'take it all' but Ed decided to keep his automail leg, to prevent him from forgetting all the things that happened
