  • This gave me chills. Beautiful work

  • CANADA ALL

THE WAY!!!!!! Any american who wants to argue that they are better can look in the history books and read who burned down there white house! Who beat them despite being vastly out numbered! Love all you'r vids and hope to be among those serving in the armed forces of Canada when

    I'm 18

  • I support our Canadian troops because I was among them in a time past. But I do not support the Harper government because of the many social issues they are ignoring and sweeping under the carpet.

  • can anyone give me a link to this whole speech???

  • As a United States Army Infantryman having served side by side with Canadian Army in Kandahar and Helmand provinces... I can personally attest to the outstanding nature, the bravery, and some of the best men I have ever had the pleasure of fighting with. Many people doubt Canada and claim jokes, but I know the true will of the Canadian people and they are a people I respect. From your neighbor to the south, I thank all of you in the Canadian Forces serving your country side by side with mine.

  • Once I immigrate, I can't wait to serve, this country provides me with opportunities the United States couldn't, political stability, and a country I can trust. I can't wait until the day I can call myself Canadian. And great Video dude

  • I wish that at the words stood true and strong by the person who spoke them... Though proud to be a Canadian!

  • i wish i was canadian, from a british, peace :)

  • What was the background music?

  • (shivers) I hope I get accepted for ROTP, the bilingualism has me scared.

  • @Montyfiable good luck man, when i was enrolled in the 1st Battalion RNFLD R it was the happiest day of my life!!! training is HARD, its meant to be ! stick with it and never quit!!!!

  • @967Apache Thanks, RMC looks like a great school!

  • @Montyfiable same here

  • too short :( by the way awsome video and im canadian and proud

  • I can't even grasp my mind around why people would dislike this video. There is no reason to dislike this video

  • 9 people can fuck off

  • In the New France days we'd all be Militia.

  • Great speech!

  • Excellent video! We should forever appreciate and never take for granted this vast tract of land, air and water we have been so fortunate to inherit. Lest we forget! Only if we conserve it, for the future, do we rightfully deserve it. Those who read books and feel the same way, may be interested in my recently released book. If so, just Google the title: The Red Wing Sings. Cheers and Ne Jamais Capituler [Never Surrender] Canada!

  • Hey! I love your videos and support them 100%! bt where is this speech? trying to find it for a while now =S Can you you help me out? thanks

I am Canadian and am proud of it!

  • Je suis Canadien et fier de l'etre / I am Canadian and proud to be

  • I wasn't fortunate enough to be born in this country, but I immigrated to this country when I was 13 and the country I was born in didn't even treat me this well. Canada gave me everything I have today and the opportunity to have more. I only hope that when I die, I could have the honor of dying for this country.

  • @boyznbrown i cannot tell you how great it is to hear such things. as a fellow canadian im proud to support those who look for a better life within canadas borders!

  • God Bless, Canada. From America !

  • this should be on tv on nov 11th proud to be canadian

  • I don't like Harper but I voted for him because unlike the rest of the parties he actually shows some respect to the Canadian Forces.

  • I feel so damn powerful!

  • What is the name of this speech ?

  • All Canadians and Americans have a little bit of British in them. Since they were both a British colony.

  • @Saigong1 fuck off America was never Britain's bitch. we were always America. little shit

  • @popFORfresh u can see for yourself... America was originally the 13 colonies until they had had enough of the high taxes and had a revolution and declared independence after the war was won

  • @popFORfresh Not really, implying America was always America is ridiculous. Britain came in, enslaved the Indians and formed a colony. If you're Caucasian, somebody in your family down the line would have had to have come from Europe, more than likely Britain. Even without any British blood, America was a colony, created, owned and ran by the British until the Revolution, in which British citizens fought against Britain itself, won independence and called themselves Americans.

  • @popFORfresh lol yah right...

  • @MultiKillCanada

so very true! we are all brothers and sisters in arms.

  • i am in love with this video!

  • I would like to see Iggy make a speech this powerful

  • @NorStarReviews Iggy?

  • @xTsukiTsuki Michael Ignatieff

  • @NorStarReviews Oh, I see :p

  • now that was inspiring unlike the gay rock out metal bullshit playinig to most of these tribute thankz for this video makes a diffrence<3

  • I wonder which three disrespectful assholes clicked the dislike button...

  • GOD BLESS STEVEN HARPER - from Jon

  • The 21st century could well be the Canadian century - David Cameron.

  • who would dislike this

  • I have watch a lot of his videos, and everyone is just as good as the others. Once my dad only had 2 weeks notice before he had to go to war, and everytime before he went he would say to me and my sister rhea he was going to fight the bad guies. And next year at this time he is suppose to be in Sierra. I don't need him dying

  • 6 People should have their citizenship revoked. Its nice hearing our heritage summed up in just a moment. Most have no clue - when it comes to our past. How we became what we have become.

  • Where can I find that section of the speech?/can i download this video and use the speech, but not the video?

  • like like like like like like

great videos matt. all of them keep up the great work

    thank-you

  • Only an american could dislike this video. This video brought tears to my eyes.

  • Welcome back to the official names of the the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). These titles have not been used since 1968 when the then Liberal government merged the Canadian Army, RCAF and RCN into one unified organization called the Canadian Forces striping the branches of their pre-1968 traditions and identities. The Cdn Army was called "Land Force Command", RCN called "Maritime Command" and the RCAF called "Air Command" from 1968 to Aug 16th 2011

  • YEAH!! CANADA IS THE BEST COUNTRY!!!

  • Great video canadianmatt3. Canada proud

  • @v3ntulus I don't know any native tribes that practice communism lol

  • I like this video a lot, thank you for putting it together!

  • @ dropdagloves8

    Amen brother

  • To hit the dislike button on a video such as this is blasphemous! I am in fact a conservative minded person and I do have liberal friends but none of them would dislike this video. Any one who hits the dislike button is dangerously far off the the left side if the spectrum!

  • You always pull it off like a movie.

    Great job, 20/10. Again.

Thank you C.F. for make Canada what it is today.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!!! I will fight for u and die for this beautiful country.

  • great vid

  • sorry @MegaWolfgang...couldn't agree more...and most of the people who say "my country is better blah blah blah" are (at least I think on the US side of the arguments) uneducated mouth-runners

  • This is our Country, this is OUR Canada. So those who think OUR land, oil, etc is yours. Just like Stephen Harper said himself, Use It. Or Lose It.

  • And God Bless those men and woman who have fallen!

  • If I could please remind people to click the "Like" button if you do like the video, I have a lot of anti military and very liberal YouTube profiles who like to click dislike and such.

  • @canadianmatt3 I hate Liberalist Swine, I'll click like on all your videos. I support the Canadian Forces in any way I can, I love Canada. God Bless our Navy, Air Force, and Ground Forces all around the world, Lets hope they all come home safe.

  • @Outlawpimp101

What in Christ's name is a "Liberalist"? That's not even a word. You must mean "Liberal swine" and I assume you think they are swine for the sole reason they hold a different view than you.

  • @v3ntulus Haha, A "Liberalist" is a "Communist". Same "Socialistic" Views. And they are Swine for that reason.

  • @Outlawpimp101

Except "Liberalist" is not a word in the dictionary. I assume you mean "Liberal". Liberalism is not Communism. Communism is not Socialism. They are three different things (which I doubt you can accurately differentiate). Each of these ideologies have very respectable aims. There are only disagreements as to how it does work, how it can work better, and its effects on human rights and freedom. Embracing any of these ideologies does not make you a swine.

  • @v3ntulus Communism has proven very effective at population control everywhere it is practiced. I suppose that is a respectable aim when put in the construct of resource management.

  • @teeps1974

The back of an axe is very effective at hammering nails, too. But it's aim is to chop down trees. Just because X is effective, that does not mean that it's aim. The aim of Communism is to create a society where everyone gives what they can and takes only what they need. Everything is shared equally. People work for the benefit of society. There's nothing negative about that. The problem arises when it is applied to large societies. Communism has and does work in small societies.

  • @v3ntulus Communism can NEVER work because of human beings. Too many human beings are greedy and suffer from delusions of entitlement. Aptly demonstrated right here at home where a popular union bargaining chip is "the other guy makes more".

  • @teeps1974

But Communism has, and does, work. The problem is with its imposition on a macro scale. Communism works in small societies (especially Native tribes). The problem is that people associate Communism with authoritarianism when there is no necessary connection. You can have Communism without authoritarianism and vice-versa. Now I agree with you about human desires and nature, but find a small group of people who think alike (a small culture) and Communism works. Ta-da! Magic.

  • @v3ntulus Every single communist rule at national level has resulted in authoritarian rule. Communism is directly associated with the murder of more the 300 million human beings, and that number is going up rapidly daily thanks to nations like China.

  • @teeps1974

Again, you can have Communism without authoritarianism and vice-versa. Communism is very difficult, if not impossible, to apply at a national level. I basically almost said it in those words, even. It is a successful system for small tribes. Elements of Communism blended with a capitalist system is the best system. Simply because Communism has failed to be implemented on a macro level without slaughter does not mean this is part of Communism. Communism does not call for killing.

  • @v3ntulus And so, for all the reasons you put up, communism is the most flawed and the horrific mode of government.

  • @teeps1974

It does have many flaws, yes, but there is far worse than Communism out there. The point of a society is that we collectively help those who can't help themselves and pool our resources for our common benefit. Communism does that, but it requires a large scale shift in human nature, as you said, hence why it doesn't work on a macro scale. Anyways, no need to apologize. I enjoyed this discussion.

  • @v3ntulus Ahh to meet face to face and enjoy coffee or pints over this discussion. I am a collectivist at heart. I think that we would wile away many enjoyable hours on this discussion. I do apologize for my more abrupt and combative tone earlier.

  • @canadianmatt3 Well Trooper, their idiots, plain and simple if their against those of us who serve

  • from 1CER, nice vids man.

and finely why i do not saport the torey is becuse he kick out two teen from his rowly campian becuse the liberal party leadr on there face boock page. why wood you do that?

and this is why im not saporting the conservative party.

  • great vid again Matt

  • Comment removed

  • @Schischwein where can I read the rule/law about "not [engaging] in public political activism" just curious, as I would like to be informed on what Canadian soldiers can & cannot do.

  • @MrDavidd419 QR&O Vol I Chap 19

  • @canadianmatt3 it seems you replied to a comment but it doesn't appear on the comment. I have also replied to your message. Again, bare in mind this is not a "you against me." We are on the same side. I merely suggesting you confirm your rights wrt suggested political affiliation. Regardless, keep up the work with Soldier On

  • @canadianmatt3 I have removed my original comment which you may have misunderstood and seems to have caused some friction.

  • @canadianmatt I think it's cool you male videos about America and Canada...I am American but I really don't see why Americans and Canadians always fight over who is better

  • @WFFMswimmer13 We don't. Just the ignorant and the stupid on both sides of the border do, cause it some how makes them feel good. The rest of both populations and thankfully the majority just shake their heads at the statements made by ignorant, the self deluded, and in general waste of skin fools who like to snipe at their friends and Allies. They have always been there, its just the Internet has made it harder to ignore them.

  • @WFFMswimmer13 It;s only on youtube. after 1812, someone didn't have the balls to fight one another haahaahaha

  • 4 persons will vote NDP...

  • I understand what you all are trying to say by how we don't need new jets, we have the cf-18 hornets, and our fighters are trained to fly those specific birds, but how much longer will they last? The equipment on board the hornets will only be good for so much longer, the f-35 (the 65 jets Harper wants to purchase) are undetectable, much faster, and are todays air dominance. Maybe it would be better to buy a like 25 of them, and use the rest of the money on used jets. That way we all win

  • The main problem is we don't know how much one of those F35s will run us. The plane is still in development. I don't think too many people disagree we need new jets, but the questions are how many, for what price, and are they suitable. We could buy American surplus jets for cheap and still have technology that would ace most of the world. The parts and service are right next door and we're on good terms with each other. The F35 deal the Cons have drummed up does not appear to be a wise one.

  • Vote Conservative!!!

  • Vote for the American with the Russian wife boys. Lol screw that harmper has done the most for Canada as a primester in 20 years. I don't think we should buy that many fighters cut it in half and we can put money into other parts of the cf. Any cf member who does not support the conservative should not be in the cf and is probly one of those self minded person who is just in it for free schooling or a trade ticket

  • @JPBAUTO I like the way you put that...

"Any cf member who does not support the conservative should not be in the cf and is probly one of those self minded person who is just in it for free schooling or a trade ticket"

    I agree wholeheartedly!

  • I'm South Korean who live in Canada right now.

No matter what, im canadian and im proud to be a canadian.

  • @Howard25247 I wish more immigrants were like you :)

  • This is why I’m voting Conservative this year. Harper sees Canada as a responsible friend to our allied countries.

The Liberals want us to hide at home with 40 year old equipment & let everyone else fight the battles.

The Liberals destroyed the Forces in the 1990’s and because of that we did nothing to stop the genocide in Rwanda. If Harper was in power back then we would have had equipment to do something and there might just be 750,000 Rwandans still alive.

  • @OABW4RR10R except Harper just dropped billions on planes we don't need, as part of a deal that even the USMC - who bought the same platform - are now questioning.

The NDP want to spend money on the Forces, but in more sensible ways such as replacing supply ships, etc. We could get along perfectly fine with 10 year old JSF technology at a fraction of the price, but that wouldn't make Harper's pals at L/M rich(er).

I'm in the Forces, and I'm not voting Con - Harper has no clue what we need.

  • @canadianmatt3 Another great video! "Keep 'er goin' Matt!"

    Audax et Celer brother!

BTW Your current RSM was my CC in Bosnia 94-95, I was his gunner.

  • Proud to be Canadian.

  • I'd rather have that and register my weapons instead, they are monitoring you as it is for the license process..

  • Guns should be legal without the PAL and the 8 hour safety course.Just walk into a local gun shop and purchase what you want when you want without any license just show ID 21+ for guns, Bring back the canadian firearms industry! it would help the Economy!

  • harper kicks ass ya go conservatives get a majority this time I wan't that stupied long gun registry gone and i want you to stand up for the military ya!

  • this is why i support the conservatives, stevey Harper and Peter MacKay, because they support the Canadian Forces.

  • Love you guys, love from Australia! :)

  • AWESOME work buddy. Keep it up!

  • THIS IS CANADA !!!!

  • LONG LIVE CANADA!!!!!

  • The Canadian Forces!! OH CANADA!

  • Comment removed

  • Harper's got my vote AAA*** video

  • Awesome job Matt!!!!

  • nice video....love from india

  • Matthew ... excellent again as per your usual ...

  • great words, great images, gave me chills. but the man speaking let down our veterans, we need a Canada that expects more for those who have served their country

  • @krissbacon PM Harper could do a better job on compensating our veterans, but think about what will happen to our military if he isnt elected.

  • @zazszdzfzgzhzjzkzlzx

Depends who is in charge. The NDP want to slightly increase military spending, mostly on the navy.

  • @v3ntulus slightly isnt enough, we need MUCH more spending, and not to mention their gonna completley disable the combat capability of our military and make it a peacekeeping force again, which I dont have a problem with aslong, as we are also equppied to effectively take part in combat missions, In my opinion, there is becoming less and less room for peacekeeping, the violence in the world is only going to escalate, and we need to be ready for whatever might come our way.

  • I disagree partly. Our debt has never been higher as it has been under Harper. We're $560 billion in debt. We have a $50 billion deficit. Where is the fiscal responsibility? I agree the military needs far more investment (and I'm an NDP supporter), but we need to pay for all that fancy new equipment somehow. I think given our current economic situation, a slight increase in military spending is the best balance of the two: increasing investment in the CF while not frivolously overspending.

  • @v3ntulus k good pint, but how do you think layton is going to pay for all those things hes promising? hes going to raise taxes, which just isnt how your revive an economy, left wing parties never do well in a recession, because they always want to raise taxes and raising taxes is a real bad idea in a recession.

  • You're half-right. Read what the NDP want to do. It's a mixture of raising taxes and giving tax breaks. Layton only wants to raise corporate taxes to last year's levels (16.5%), whereas Iggy wants it capped at 18%. Harper wants 14%. Layton wants to give small businesses a tax credit per employee they hire. Keep in mind those employees then pay income tax, so the program basically pays for itself. The NDP plan makes sense. Make those who can afford to pay, pay. The rest get a break.

  • @v3ntulus if Im a multi-bilion dollare company and the corprate tax is 16.5 - 18% Im gonna say screw this and take my 10,000 jobs to the US or mexico. Raising taxes doesnt help the economy PERIOD

Creating jobs takes: training, trade and low taxes.

  • Canada's corporate tax rate is lower than the US. You'd be keeping your jobs in Canada if you had to choose between the two. Either way, you're again partly right. Corporations will do anything to maximize profit. They are not patriotic entities. What many seem to miss is that Canada is not just a balance sheet. There's more to Canada than our economy and we need to balance the other stuff with a strong economy. The NDP have the best balance. But it's not as simple as low taxes = more jobs.

  • @v3ntulus well I didnt say " low taxes = more jobs." I said creating jobs takes training trade and then low taxes. and I refuse to beleive, and also think that you should take a reality check, that the ndp has the best financial balance after bob rae's butchering of the ONtario economy last time, that was brutal. and not to mention the ndp wants to keep the gun regustry which is THE most ineffective, POS, waist of money our country has ever bought into, and its against rights/freedoms.

  • I disagree. According to the Parliamentary Budget Officer, the NDP have the best record out of any party for balancing budgets, even including Mr. Rae (who is actually a Liberal now). I don't know what the gun registry issue has to do with anything at hand. I agree it should be abolished, and so did six NDP MPs (including my own) who voted against the long gun registry. I'm not sure if you mean the long gun registry or the NDP are against rights and freedoms. Either way, both are untrue.

  • @v3ntulus That is absurd the ndp are the worst fiscal party in Canada. and the gun registry is against our rights, for proof go to 'w w w . r k b a . c a' < (without the spaces of course)

  • Not according to the Parliamentary Budget Office, they aren't. The NDP actually have smart taxation policy. The worst fiscal party in Canada is the Conservative Party, putting us $560 billion in debt with a $50 billion deficit. Mulroney put us in a similar position too. No NDP government has put their jurisdiction anywhere near $560 billion in debt or $50 billion in deficit. Again, I'm unsure what the gun registry has to do with anything. I agree with you that it should be scrapped.

  • @v3ntulus Yes we are in debt but you have your blinders on. Look at the economies of the rest of the World! It's an economic CRISIS for Gods sake! We're Financially Sound with $560 billion in debt compared to everyone else! That money was used to get Canadians back to work! And lets not forget that Harper is an Economist by trade and who better to lead us through and economic crisis!

You are actually believing the Liberal lies and propaganda! HAH! Open your eyes!

  • $560 billion in debt (because of Harper) is not "financially sound". And spending more money on stupid shit like expensive fighters when others will do the job for a fraction of the price, building more prisons when Canada's crime rate has been falling for over a decade, and spending well over a billion dollars just on the G8/G20 summits alone is not fiscal responsibility. I am not a Liberal so I don't believe their "propaganda". These are facts and they are stubborn things.

  • @v3ntulus Let me ask you something.. Lets say your car needs new rotors and brake pads, would you rather buy them new or go to a junkyard and pull them off the same old car for next to nothing? Canada needs to spend money on brand new aircraft, gear, tanks, everything to ensure our way of life for the future, It is only a small investment to buy all new then to buy old used aircraft whch will only last half the time, and aren't as good. We aren't the united states, we have a smaller army, so we

  • @Outlawpimp101 *so we do not need to buy as much stuff for the military as they would, so we can actually afford to buy all new. I don't know about you but i want or soldiers to have the best of everything, after all they are serving our country, not you.

  • False dichotomy. The options being presented are not "give them the best of everything" and "give them shit". The Forces need equipment that are suitable to their roles, both defending our country and defending our allies/peacekeeping missions. I agree the troops deserve the best equipment, but we're $560 billion in debt thanks to Harper. All that fancy new equipment needs to be paid for somehow. What has been suggested is simply to get slightly older technology for a fraction of the price.

  • @v3ntulus We are not 560 Billion in debt because of Harper.

    1) We are at war and war is expensive!

    2) Did you forget about the Global Financial Crisis? Harper spent Millions keeping Canadians at work and has saved our Economy so well that Canada's economy is the envy of the World!

    3) Don't forget that the Liberals sent our guys to war in green uniforms and jeeps. Harper had to buy tanks and new equipment. It's so bad my Base had to REPLACE it's 50 year old sewer system - too old to fix!

  • 1) Correct. Why are we at war, what has been achieved in the last decade, and what are the victory objectives?

    2) Harper didn't want to spend ANY stimulus. The Opposition parties forced him to. We'd have been far worse off if they hadn't. Our economy is NOT the envy of the world. Harper wanted to remove regulations that would have made the crisis far worse.

    3) I agree, but the Liberals didn't send much to Afghanistan. Harper escalated our involvement to beyond what we could readily support.

  • @v3ntulus 1) We are at war because of 9/11 and global terrorism. The UN said go and we went. You want victory objectives ask NATO, they're leading.

    2) Harper is an Economist by trade and you are writing your own version of the Stimulus package. It was his idea to begin with not the Opposition parties.

    3) Harper didn't escalate our involvement. NATO gave us a bigger job once Harper bought us the proper equipment to fight with.

Interesting how you have all these things twisted in your mind....

  • 1) So you can't tell me those victory objectives, what we have achieved and what the benefit is to Canada?

    2) Harper repeatedly said that he didn't want to spend stimulus and the Opposition parties forced him to.

    3) BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's rich lol.

  • @v3ntulus And just for fun copy this and paste it into YAHOO or GOOGLE and see what you get

Canada's economy is suddenly the envy of the world

and be prepared to eat crow....

  • The BANKING SYSTEM is the envy of the world, not the economy, according to the Yahoo Finance article that came up. And that banking system was about to be destroyed by Harper's Conservatives who favoured US-style deregulation. There's a world of difference between an economy and a banking system.

  • @v3ntulus So what's your version of the "Global Financial Crisis" then? You have a very narrow mind.

CBS News from June LAST YEAR

"The 20 world leaders at an economic summit in Toronto next weekend will find themselves in a country that has avoided a banking crisis where others have floundered, and whose economy grew at a 6.1 percent annual rate in the first three months of this year. The housing market is hot and three-quarters of the 400,000 jobs lost during the recession have been recovered"

  • From 2006-2010, we lost 400,000 manufacturing jobs and only gained 6,000 in the oil and gas sector. Banking, insurance, finance: one of the few sectors that grew. Our regulations over the banking industry prevent our banks from taking stupid risks. Harper wished and still wishes to remove the regulations that kept us afloat during the recession. You're really touting this guy as the one who will save Canada's skin economically when we've only survived in spite of him?

  • @v3ntulus None of the three leaders are perfect. Harper is the lesser of all evils. We're not going to change each others' opinions here.
