  • The voice-over sounds like the actor Herschel Bernardi, who was the original Charlie Tuna.

  • That Zenith 1949 TV is one of the worst sets of all time in my opinion.

  • the radio looks like a 1938 shudder dial-robot dial?????????

  • i use to fix tv's in the late 70's 76 to like 86. even in 86 the cheap tv's were comming in. i had to find another job. remember the NEW VCR's weighted a ton. (top load)

sony had a hi-fi vcr, cost $1200 lol now? $80 if even people still have them? and when i got divorce, i let the X keep the 72 pontiac with the am/fm 8 track indash lolol

  • The 1972 Zenith tv is in a scrap heap somewhere or in someone's basement collecting years of dust

  • Great commercial! I'd never seen that one before. Thanks for posting! I used to have a Zenith Chromacolor back in the early 70's. I remember in the mid-70's Magnavox made TV's with a built-in Pong game. I miss those old sets

  • Just think... the 1972 Zenith products at the end are now older than the 1935 radio was at the time of the ad.

  • @tkaye2 that's true - I had not considered that the commercial looks at 37 years worth of home entertainment but it's been 38 years since the ad itself was broadcast

  • @tkaye2 OMG! You're right! I was born in 1972...........crazy! I didn't even think of doing that calculation.
