The circumstances are difficult to ascertain without someone who was there explaining it. From what I see, there were several people running around, so I ASSUME those were all rock-throwing kids. Then there's a guy with a gun. I'd have to ASSUME, if it were me out there with a bunch of jerk-offs throwing rocks at me, I just might use the gun to quell any imminent danger. How would he know any of the others weren't armed with more than rocks?

Not racist. The kids were crossing the boarder and got caught, the cops detained two and the others started throwing rocks. the officer shoots. Maybe he warned, maybe he was injured by a rock, maybe that kid knew how to press the right buttons to tick the cop off, he is human after all.

The circumstances are difficult to ascertain without someone who was there explaining it. From what I see, there were several people running around, so I ASSUME those were all rock-throwing kids. Then there's a guy with a gun. I'd have to ASSUME, if it were me out there with a bunch of jerk-offs throwing rocks at me, I just might use the gun to quell any imminent danger. How would he know any of the others weren't armed with more than rocks?

But he didn't. He held onto the boy he was trying to arrest. So, apparently he didn't feel in very much danger. I was a cop. If there is a crowd gathering because I have a suspect they want released, and his only crime is trying to cross the border, or throwing a rock at me, brother, I'm out of there.

Mexican kids jump the fence and spend a day hanging out in a US town, and then go home. For all you know, one of the kids might have had a girlfriend he wanted to visit. What we have forgotten is that Mexico and the USA are not enemies. We are allies. The media portrays all this warfare in Mexico, and the weapons come from the USA. He was 15. It is a tragedy.

For example, just like if you are driving down the street and you 'flip off' a driver who cuts in front of you. You should expect that the 'cause' (flipping the bird) will create an 'effect' (other driver shoots you). Because you 'caused' this 'effect' then it's perfectly OK. Is that your argument?
