  • This is me in a few years time...I don't want 2.4 children ...mortgage...stress .. bullshit... just some peace ..and space , a dog and my guitar, on a boat!

  • I'll have my boat by next year, it's been a long time coming but it'll be worth it.

Mick is definitely an inspiration, top bloke.

  • For info of those who have posted comments, Mick is still with us, but no longer living on the boat, which he had to give it up for health reasons.

  • Neat.

  • inspiring

  • an awsome person

  • long live anarchism, long live Mick, and i would just like to say i have the same sort of asperations as this man and would love to meet him great vid

  • an inspiration to us all, WIll look out for Mick on the waterways. Thanks for posting Jonsais, any other film you have would be well received

  • good stuff, good on ya m8

  • I see 'me' in Mick... A proud man who lives by his principles. Who wants to keep up with the Jones's ? not me. I'm opting 'out' and will defend my right to do so .. in this England.

  • Good on you MICK, have a good life,

  • I would have liked to have seen around the boat- it looks like an interesting life...

  • Me an me wife have been moored up with this fellow many a time over past year and cudent wish to meet such an sortid man..with a proper heart..inspiration to us all...There Is No Outhority But Yourself..Respect!!!

  • Good luck with your Msc and your plans to live on a boat. As you say Anarchism is about voluntary co-operation (and individual freedom, the two work best in parallel.

  • I think this guy is my new hero. I'm likewise nearly a decade vegan and when I finish my MSc in a years time I plan to buy and live on a boat with the money I've saved. Good on him and all who recognise that true anarchism is about community and not smashing things up as the media would have you believe.

  • I wouldn't call Mick's comments about the rich as 'railing', he was just commenting about the social situation as he sees it about him. There is poverty in the countryside in the UK, but it is very much hidden, while alfuent incomers are very visible. His life style is a poor man's attempt to live in an area where it is hard to get a foothold, if like Mick you have no large amount of money behind you.

  • Listening to Mick talk about his daily action warms.

However, early on, you hear his jealousy come forth, railing against the "rich".

Perhaps if Mick would have sought others to unseat those wielding power rather, maybe living would improve for all.

Instead, most folks get bought off easily with crumbs of welfare, of socialism, of council housing.

Power Rich folks stay rich and powerful because they keep poor folks in a state of in-fighting, bribing some with welfare.

  • Hell yeah, cheers!

  • What a lovely man. I just want to tell me how much respect i got. There is hope in the world.

  • What a lovely guy. I have so much more respect for people like him, the down to earth friendly type. Brings a whole new spin to anarchism.

  • Respect!
