Wow! I agree that the image of the child hugging his mom is incredible. It could serve as a 20 second film study course. As all of these segments could.
First rate all along...well except for the puzzled looking guy in the forest at the end. It looks like he was checking on the score of Man U vs Hull City.
I thought this was a song from Babel? It sure sounds like it but then again Gustavo Santolalla did compose that. There is another BBC News advert, which could be using that instead.
It's amazing how certain events not only touch the nation affected, but the entire world (JFK, Elvis, etc.). Strange that Princess Diana was not included.
if there was ever an advert perfect for the product its selling, this is it. my only complaint is that in realisty, the bbc has shortened it so now it only stops at nelson :(
You have to love this advert. I'd say one of the best by the BBC. Surprised there was no mention of Obama's win however, maybe that isn't news enough yet.
How much longer will it be until we finally get another shocking event

Well there's an updated version of these which features Obama's election victory

Reminds me of "The Event" too. I just watched it and it's very similar and was made in 2004.

The song is by Gustavo Santaolalla and it's called "When Our Wings Are Cut, Can We Still Fly?".
