You know, I'd say that the combination of the song and the masked lovers has some sort of super deep psychological-subliminal-message- thing, but I'm not some douche bag shrink, so i wont.
Really? Being a bass-toned instrument player myself, I can't really hear the bass all the time. Well, no, I DO hear it, but it's not prominent, you know?
And haha, we should totally group up and play some sexy saxophone stuff. P:
@Kasabouaa ohio, but all the same.wolverines ftw. and ive listened to every streetlight song so many times, ive toned in to all the different parts, and the bass is fantastically schmexy.
I listened earlier with these 3D sound headphones or whatever and every sound was clear and everything was blended and oh my god it was just... skjhfaslkj
Not gonna lie I only recently got into listening to this group and HOLY FEEKKIN SHIIIII...... they are freakin awesome Streetlight Manifesto ALL THE WAY!
Many high energy bands are better live than on recordings. Something about the energy of the crowd drawing out the best from the performers. Great Big Sea is another perfect example. They put out good albums, but theres nothing like listening to them getting several thousands of people to sing along with them to all their classic tunes and random others thrown in for fun like Bohemien rhapsody
@tommytooclean : i completely agree, but there are some bands that sound amazing live, such as O.A.R. but on your comment thats why theres bands that just sound like shit acoustic/live and in studio they sound good cause of electronics and shit like rappers and like Ke$ha or whatever.
@MikelDzky omg no way I have a friend who plays the euphonium and he's a streetlight fan, and thinks the same thing. I hope that you're not as obnoxious about it as he is =P
Streetlight is one of those awesome bands that you go to see live, and when you get back home and try to listen to the album you go "What the hell?" Because the live show was so good that the recording sounds like shit.
their first album was definately like that, but i think somewhere in the between had a much better sound quality on it, nonetheless they are an incredible band live, i saw them at my first ska show, best experience ever
Yes. Their first album is most certainly like that. And obviously, the live show is almost always going to be better than the album.
This is one of the only songs that I can still listen to after seeing them on the Warped tour. And then there's "Would you Be Impressed?" which has the most epic music video on the face of the planet (With the exception of maybe the Treadmill video by OK Go).
Obviously the live show is almost always going to be better than the album? No way, dude, it completely depends on the band, most studio albums are gonna sound better than a live band. Nothing can replace the experience of a good show, but typically, the studio version is gonna sound better, not the other way around.
@tommytooclean ; i completely agree, but there are some bands that sound amazing live, such as O.A.R. but on your comment thats why theres bands that just sound like shit acoustic/live and in studio they sound good cause of electronics and shit like rappers and like Ke$ha or whatever.

@meemeesiko57 I wouldn't quite type it as shit. I'd admit the live version is vastly superior, but I Still enjoy the recorded versions, and prefer them to 90% of the rest of the songs on my Ipod.
@meemeesiko57 SO DAMN TRUE, saw them live @ warped tour. Yes, they were amazing, and whenever they come within 500 miles of me again I will see them again. Till then I'll have to deal with the recordings, which aren't that bad. But nothing, and I mean nothing. Beats Streetlight Manifesto live.
@meemeesiko57 I have no Idea what you're talking about. The album is fucking PERFECT. On the other hand, the sound quality in this video is pretty awful.
Oh, my friend. I have Somewhere in the Between on perfect condition vinyl, with a good turntable and through a great sound system. There is no denying that the album is absolutely fantastic. But my point is not the say that the album sucks, only that it pales in comparison to the pure perfectitude (I don't think that's a word) of their live show. No matter what sound system you've got, Streetlight just doesn't sound better on record than they do live.
@meemeesiko57 I still listen to the album nonstop. They played most of Everything Goes Numb. I'm finding that I get depressed listening to the album because the show was so intense
...I Dont Think this song is Directed at Polotics Specificly. I belive it is more related to, What is Socialy Acceptable, or, Politicaly Correct... The Theme is, Obviously, War. And How All the Big Wigs will Relize how Stupid they Were for Starting One.
i liked bush's policies much more than the ones Obama has been implementing...in 4 years everyone is going to realize that bush wasn't as bad as he is made out to be
Every president loses popularity the longer they're in office. It's been proven. It's a hard job to try to please everyone for 4 or possibly 8 years... Presidents are found to be liked more after they're done with their term(s).
i saw reel big fihs in cleveland like 3 days ago, i was talking to streetlight and i got to go back and hang out with jim conti and mike soprano for like th whole concert. its like Reel big Who????
I saw these guys open for Reel Big Fish a couple years ago, but I didn't know them, and I treated them like I usually treat openers... and now that I've been introduced to their ska ways, I regret not knowing them for the show, but Reel Big Fish was incredible!

THAT FUCKING TROMBONE
Before my favourite parts in this band were: Bari, then Trombone and then Trumpet.
Now I think Trombone is number one.
Which is sad because
I play the Bari Sax myself.
But then again, there's nothing I hate about this band so it's good.

@Kasabouaa i think that the bass is the best in streetlight songs, and i play alto and tenor.
