@Ilovehazel06 Ah, but Jesus said the wrath of God remains on those who do not obey Him:
Jesus said, "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." ~ John 3:36
@Sparda849 Forgive me for my tone earlier. A few verses off the top of my head: Psalm 5:5-6, 7:11, 11:5, Hosea 9:15, John 3:36, and Romans 9:13. Go to biblegateway . com and do a keyword search; use keywords such as hatred, wrath, etc. Also check out our website truthsource . net. Goto Puritans > Jonathan Edwards and click on his sermon, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." Also search Youtube for "illbehonest Hell is Necessary Tim Conway" ... great teaching on the issue.
...says that God loathes the souls of a body of sinners for their sins and viol ways. At the same time it says that God does not despise a one. So where do we find the balance? We find it in that its his love that fuels his hate in that he cares for us that we should do right and cease from doing wrong. So in a way he hates and loves at the same time.
To an extent, I agree with this message, but to another, I don't. While it is true that God hates, he hates wickedness and our sinful deeds before hating us ourselves. You see, if he did not have any love at all for any sinners, he wouldn't have died for them that they should be forgiven and saved, but he would have damned the entire world to hell long ago without any mercy. The wicked would not abide on this earth, but would be no more! But he does hate, but even his hatred is fueled by love...
But how can he say that God hates me when I am obtaining the salvation by Jesus Christ? "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (Joh 3:36 KJV)"
@Gothxha If you are truly saved, then all the hatred and wrath that God had toward you because of your wretched evil wickedness, was directed to Jesus Christ while He hung on the cross and He absorbed all of it, being crushed under the weight of God's wrath and justice.
IM going to be real honest here, I don't know who god is, I don't know anything about any of your god, and as far as im concerned, I have to question everyone who use scriptures like John 3:16 to refer to this god as loving towards the sinners, while other's use passages from the Psalms Psalm 5:5 to refer to god as someone who hates the wicked.. As far as I know. it seems like the only thing im getting from all of this is the run around, so therefore I claim no god, for I do not know one.
@Ransome1690 Did you watch the whole video? My friend, this is not a hard concept and don't allow it to be an excuse for you to deny God who you know exists. Do you love some people and hate others? Is that a difficult concept to grasp? It is the same with God. God loves some and hates others. The difference between you and Him, is that His hatred is not self-centered, malicious, or unjust, but holy and righteous. If God is good, He must hate evil. Our problem is we are evil.
@Ransome1690 I thank you for your honesty, it is much appreciated. Realize though that yes God is a God of justice and He hates evil. But instead of punishing all evildoers like we all deserve, He offers us mercy and the way He has provided mercy is by sending His own Son to die a gruesome death in order to save those who come to Him. That's like someone murdering your family and yet you forgiving them and giving them all that you have for their welfare. God gave His one and only perfect Son.
why are there so many dislikes? c'mon, we need to just grow up and deal with this truth. I love this truth. It gives me confident that my Lord is Just and perfect. This is our God! Be proud! This God who hates came down to save us. So if u understand that God hated us as sinners, then u might ask why did He saves us? And thats the point! ur suppose to ask that! He saved us simply because He is love! Cnt u see the beauty of the Gospel when u understand the full counsel of God? :-)
Amen, it is wonderful that someone will finally stand up for the truth and tell people this almost lost doctrine of the hatred of God. Thanks for posting.
first off the preachers are dead right about the wrath of god. but the mercy of god is there, only if you take up ur cross daily and follow him it is a long narrow road that few may find. doesnt that scare you. and the bible was written through men not by men per say that bible was wrote by god and god alone. everything he says in the bible is the truth, for god is not a man that he shall lie. so thinking that the bible was written by man is listening to the lie. bless u all and may u find god
@tgz5001 That's absolutely right. We are all guilty of sin and therefore we are born into this world as workers of iniquity, doing nothing but evil. The Bible declares that by nature we have been "children of wrath" (Eph. 2:3) with the wrath of God upon us for our sins. However God has offered mercy to all with the great love He had for us, and He offers this mercy only through His Son Jesus Christ, so that anyone who repents of sin and believes in Him will be saved from judgment.
@kingvamp8 it is fearful that you have been exposed to these truths and yet continue on in indifference. Those who have received more light will be held with greater responsibility and will receive a stricter judgment and condemnation. Please consider these things and turn from your sins and submit to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is your only hope.
So, the question is won't you plead for mercy if you are not right with God?! He promises that He will gladly & readily pardon because of the perfect righteousness & sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who intercedes for all who will call on God in Jesus' name!
You who post blasphemous comments and dislike this video would love a judge who strictly opposed the crimes of a murderer who slaughtered your family, and a judge who would sentence such a heinous criminal to a strict judgment as perfect justice requires...and here reveals your hypocrisy. The same justice you would cry out for regarding such a criminal, also cries out against you because of your sins. The difference is God offers you mercy, when you would never offer that criminal mercy.
@truthsourcenet If you want to tell me that I deserve eternal torture for my sin, you have to prove that there is such a thing as sin without relying on a book written by men.
@kellylovescake You are foolish and arrogant; a vile sinner, and your thought life alone condemns you as such. The kinds of thoughts you've had against your own parents, even your friends, people who have annoyed you, and others you were attracted to, have been so shameful that if these ppl saw those wicked thoughts, you would run as fast as you could away from them. You've told countless lies, lusted, you've blasphemed God's name as a curse word, hated others, etc.
@truthsourcenet Yes, kellylovescake, what truthsourcenet says is true of each of us. But thanks be to God, Christ died for the sins of my thought life as well as those more apparent to a watching world.
@kellylovescake And what's beyond comprehension is that a holy and just God has offered mercy to such wicked sinners like you and me. He offers you salvation freely but you are unwilling to come to Him because you hate Him and love your sins. You will justify your sins and continue to practice your deceitful lusts because you have no regard or interest in God or His ways. Salvation - 100% free pardon from every sin ever committed - is available to those who repent of sin and believe in Christ.
@truthsourcenet - yes but we'd be punishing that murderer for crimes HE committed, not for crimes his ancestor committed thousands of years ago. A person who commits a crime that harms others deserves to be punished, but only if he actually commits that crime. The doctorine of original sin is stupid, tryannical, and false - it is like saying that someone murdered your family the day he was born.
@MissLenaBeamish Miss, until you can prove that YOU ALONE are innocent from sin, then you might have an argument. Nobody on the face of this earth is sinless, so the argument you have against original sin is absolutely pointless. IF you were sinless, THEN you might be able to say it's unjust to be held accountable for someone else's sin.
@MissLenaBeamish but that's not even the issue. We are NOT held accountable for someone else's sin. The doctrine of original sin does NOT teach that we are punished for Adam's sin. The doctrine of original sin teaches that we have all received a fallen, sinful nature which results in us desiring nothing except to sin. God will judge and punish you and anyone else who does not come to His Son not because of Adam's sin, but because of the sins THEY willfully committed themselves.
