this is awsome! nice job, for those of you who have trouble with this try this....  after you install it open the file up minimize everything open "My Computer" and go through all the folders 'till you open garrysmod/garrysmod make sure you can see both the addons folder and the smart snap folder, and try dragging and droping the "smartsnap" folder into the "addons" folder. see if that helps! worked for me!

me too, i downloaded smarsnap, and some other mods, threw them in with my other mods and they dont work, my other ones did but not smartsnap and the new ones! :(

Does this allow you to move objects on a grid so they remain straight up and down and perfectly aligned to the axis?

my smartsnap isnt working anymore. It only works in multiplayer and in singleplayer all my props say they belong to user: unconnected. I have checked and rechecked all the settings, does anyone here know what the problem could be?

yes you can enable/disable it. Pretty much anyone who plays GMod has this addon it has allot of settings just go to Q-menu -> options -> smartsnap.

Thats called uninstalling, he's asking if you can turn in on and off ingame.

As far as I know the grid is always enabled and you enable the snapping with the use key.

Actually you can just turn it off. There is a check box somewhere. I forget where.
