  • why dont the buttons ever work right in newer otis elevators every one is going to get mad and complain and do you have to pay is it a vallatte parking because I saw the sign that said retreve you veical in the lobby. So does the Attentant park your car for you? sorry I have so many questoins.

  • You get your car from the front, I dunno why the elevators go to the parking deck.

  • fast elevators!

  • Yeah, those are quite nice.

  • Are the doors for these elevators double-doors, or 2-speed doors?

  • Just centre-opening doors, nothing special.

  • Are the doors for these elevators double-doors, or 2-speed doors?

  • I'm thinking this is a variant of KONE/montgomery, based on the inside keyswitches. I think this uses the H341 fire service key and the J200 service key.

  • It's an Otis, given the buttons. Buildings tend to use elevators from the same manufacture, and this one has other elevators that are marked as Otis.

  • Even if there overpriced and don't have the time or man power?

  • Have you never heard of economies of scale? If they purchase multiple elevators from the same person, the price per elevator goes down significantly. That's why they purchase only from one manufacture.

  • For some reason The Atlanta Marriot Marquis used traction elevators for their parking garage when they easily could have used hydraulic ones

  • They need the extra speed for those elevators, since the hotel hosts some enormous conventions, most notably DragonCon (35,000 people between it and the Hyatt and Hilton).

  • I didnt know the parking garage elevators were also full during DragonCon for longer waits. Dont some people ever take the stairs through the parking garage? And cant they make these elevators bigger to hold more people?

  • Oh yeah! The parking garage is for valet parking only, so no customer actually has the need to go there. The non-parking floors they do serve were crammed. Guess that they didn't have enough space to hold everyone.

  • What is DragonCon

  • It's a Sci-Fi/Fantasy convention in Atlanta - held at the Hyatt, Marriott, and Hilton hotels every year around labor day weekend.

  • Can you access the International level from the main elevators?

  • No; it is one level below their reach.

  • Why cant the main elevators go to the international level?

  • Don't know why

  • because you need a passcard to go there and i really doubt that it means international level.

  • There is a sign right there that says "IL - International Level" The international level contains conference rooms.

  • You don't need a room key to go there.

  • There is a sign inside the elevator, right above the buttons, visible at 0:41

  • Is there a pool in this hotel? If so, what floor?

  • There is one, probably on the lobby level. Right now there's lots of construction going on, so I don't know if its open.

  • It's Otis. The beep is very familiar.

  • Sure is, especially all of the other elevators there are marked as otis.

  • P2 stands for parking level 2, LL stands for Lobby Level, what do IL* and ML stand for?

  • IL stands for International Level, which has convention space, and contains the exit. ML stands for Marquis Level.
