  • What is that big white thing on the light bar? Cool video!

  • @USAirwaysrocks Those two white sticks are unique to the NYPD's Highway Patrol division. They have motors that stick them straight up in the air. Each stick has 4 LED's on each side that flash to give drivers, who may not see the cruser due to another vehicle in their line of sight, a warning there is a patrol car ahead. They also inclue two spotlights for better visability. These "highway bars" are only used when the vehicle is stationary and usually used durring traffic stops.

  • Honestly, New York should join the rest of PD's and get rid of turners and vectors. upgrade to bars or led vectors which I THINK this is but cannot say for sure

  • @zboi778 Vectors (Vision lightbars) are the best lightbars out there. They have clear and easily noticable 360 degree light coverage unmatched by any lightbar. No LED bar can match that. It's also the best lightbar for intersections as it is angled specificly for that. At all times, there is at least 50% of the entire lightbar shining light in one direction. The Vision SLR is NYPD's future lightbar. (The Vision SLR is just starting to be put on units)

  • police cars cool
