marijuana is the worst! I've been taken to hospital three times with irregular heartbeat and severe palpitations. I know I should have quit after my first episode, but when I'm drunk I forget what's good for me and what's not
chill out and although my advice may seem a bit controversial, but how about some weed from time to time to release stress, worry, anxiety etc... Just a little a night, no worse than a glass of wine or a beer and can also help eating disorder.
Also take up a hobby/sport and go enjoy your life. It doesn't last very long.
Baclofen may not work.It can produce hallucinations sometimes. It can be very trippy in some people. It is related to GHB/GBL and can lead to withdrawal i some people. Ok - First thing- Get the fact deep in side your heart that Panic Attacks never killed anyone. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DIE
Consult your doctor is Baclofen is the right drug for you- I think its not- either Xanax- Alprazolam or Klonopin- Clonazepam!
Citalopram - 60 mg is too much and too high for your age!
Please consult a MD- I think you need a change in drugs-. Propranolol can make you blackout if you have low BP. Dont self medicate. Go to a Md and discuss medications please. Youd be fine soon
Man pray and ask God in Jesus name to take that anxiety disorder out of you. I had it to. It really work. I am cured. Im just spreading my testimony and helping you out.
The devil wants us to think theres no way out, but Jesus is the only way.
Hey there! Have you tried anxiety zero technique (I think its at anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin pretty much cured panick attacks with it.
i have tried almost all ssris. I recently was prescribed paxil and it somewhat helped my anxiety. My doctor gave me klonopin as well with the paxil but the klonopin did nothing for me so my doc gave me .25 mg of xanax. The xanax didnt work so i take two and now im finally myself again!!!!! It sux it took me years and years to finally get the right medications prescribed but i finally found a good doctor! I will pray for you, you look like a very kind and handsome young lad!
propranolol is heart medication if you do not have heart problems you might feel better uping the citalopram both will make you tired i take both but propranolol for heart and celexa for anxiety
@jayguy173 celexa somewhat works for anxiety but i strongly suggest benzodiazepine medications! dam and i forgot to say that my doc prescribed me propranolol and it made me feel weird and gave me the worst headache but he only gave me 10 mg and told me to take twice a day. I only took one of the 10 mg and dont want to take ne more. I am concerned because i read on the internet that you have to ween off beta blockers but since i only took one can i just not take any more?????
@smileyg333 no you do not because itse for hearts it kicks in for about 8 hours and slows the heart and helps you be slowed down thats how beta blockers work, another thing I can tell from your post that you worry to much. Do whatever works best for you also try some exercise
@jayguy173 yes i have been trying to exercise regularly but it is a bit difficult for me though:( but i called the pharmacy and they told me to talk to my doctor before stopping the propranolol im guessing so he can ween me off??? i just dont like the way it made me feel and they said that would wear off but this is day 2 and i still feel like discontinuing them and btw propranolol is currently being used for hypertension, anxiety, and alot of other purposes other then heart problems.
@smileyg333 and i dnt believe anyone who is not depressed should be taking antidepressants. I have my patients stick to benzodiazepines unless they are indeed depressed...

I dont know what people are saying about the diet things, but breathing for me is a huge one. Personally, my awareness of breath and posture gets better when I exercise, so sometimes when I feel myself getting a gut feeling that something bad is going to happen (what happens before my anxiety attack) I focus really really hard on my breathing and lay down. After resting for a bit, I go for a walk around to get me even more focused on breathe and movement. Pretty calming stuff.

I know that for me, my anxiety attacks come from a result of a medical condition, but generally feeling bad and stressed out definitely does nothing to help anxiety attacks. What CKSBoltaction says about how finding comfort zones sort of protect you from triggers is totally the same for me. If I find places and people and activities that allow me to feel safe, I try do go/see/do those things often to feel more secure. Then I have something to think about, too, when triggers come up.

I've posted many videos on this as I suffer with Agoraphobia AGAIN. What you eat, drink ect doesn't really help. It really depends on the triggers. I was living out of home for months, I'd met a girl who became my fiance, she was my rock (my comfort zone) I managaed to go out and even boat fishing, but when she left I went back to being Agoraphobic. I did go on paxil which did help also valium is a very helpful drug, though addictive, it really helps.

ANXIETY is a Structural Disease!!!! it's not down to Weakness, so eating bananas, take supps or running round the block wont do shit!! CBT (Cogn. Beh. Ther.) is SEMI-USEFUL, I had a course of this and it helps to manage/recognise some of the triggers/sympt!!!. It's a frustrating disorder that not many people understand, it effects everything you do!!! and whats worse is the NHS are FUCKING USELESS. - best of luck!

I have heard from various sources that Baclofen can be helpful with Anxiety. Although Baclofen is not licensed for this purpose, some people have had major improvements in their condition with its use.
It won't likely ever be used officially, BAclofens PATENTS are spent, so no means of funding the R&D on this. SHAME!!!!
Thankfully, Anxiety disorders are being taken more seriously by big pharma, no less than 5 new drugs specifically for anxiety in the pipeline!!
Benzodiazepines should be avoided as a long term measure - Highly Habituating!!! your doctor wouldn't supply these in your age range!!! Some people find using anti-histimenes (e.g Diphenhydramine HCl) useful, the slow the mind down a tad (drowsy).
BetaBlockers such as Propanolol (Inderal/Half inderal) curtail tachycardia!!! This doesn't help the feelings and behaviours of anxiety . SSRI's such as Fluxetine/Citalopram are antidepresents which are not very good at treating anxiety disorders doctors prescribe these all to often to people with anxiety disorders (Not Useful). Buspirone is pretty good in some patients it is non-habituating and has a better side-effect profile than SSRI's.
Do something physical. Get a punching bag, run around the block once, do some push ups. Its doesnt have to be a lot of strenuous activity, just a few minutes to get rid of the flight or fight response.....check Deepak Chopra
Yeah I am having an anxiety attack right now. It sucks. My heart rate is way up, I am shaking, and feel severely irritable. Nothing seems to work. I am having trouble breathing too. I also feel a bit queazy. I hope it goes away soon!
to get rid of anxiety attacks: breath deeply and slowly, make sure to focus on each inhale and exhale you take. breath through your diaphragm, making your stomach expands and shrinks. this will help you. make an effort to focus on your breath everyday. love & peace always. -Andrea
Mate i have went through panic attacks myself when i was underweight and drank alot.. they seem to stop after i gained weight, and i no longer drink as much. just hang in there if i can get back up you can aswel!
it teaches you how to cope with your anxiety and some steps how to calm your anxiety, when i listned to it i was already doing some of the things to calm your anxiety so i mean it does work. sorry i know this is kinda long but i hope this helps everyone and if anyone needs any coaching or help just message me
but i mean if prescriptions help you then go for it but the side effects are really bad and if you do it naturally with no prescriptions i think it is way better because you wanna feel normal and not always tired everyday. my suggestion to you is find that confidence in yourself always try to think positive, i know how hard it is but you'll be ok. a pretty good program is with lucinda basset
what i do when i feel a little anxious is i try not to think whatever it is that is making me anxious and i think of something else like i tell myself yeah it's my anxiety but it's ok it will pass i'm gonna be ok or focus my attention to something else. i don't recommend the prescriptions because my anxiety was gone for about a year and went to see my a psychiatrist because of my depression and when i took the drug my anxiety came back.
i really feel for anyone that has anxiety and depression i've had it for 5 years now. it was really bad for me in the beginning because i didn't know how to deal with it, i didn't get help because i didn't even know what it was. everything i learned how to deal with it was by myself. i had really bad anger issues and pushed everyone i cared for away. i still have some anxiety now but it's not as severe as before.
sounds like a lack of potasium, get your blood checked out as well, potasium helps your muscles and heart, when its low it can cause muscle and heart spasms, very much like panic attacks, ask your doctor about this, and yes get off meds but talk to doc first. I know alot because I have been where you are right now. and beleive me there is a way out of it all.
Get off the god damn meds. Seroiusly bro. I was hospitalized from the sideaffects of the meds. Try the linden method as well. Good luck, and dont give up. It probably seems like everything in the world is against you, but these types of things dont last. PM me if you need any advice or someone to talk to.
Fuck some of these people man. What I beleive you need is some NA. You don't need these drugs to live anymore. Give your body a break and try to detox from some of these medicenes.
mental illness has caused me to lose a house, trown in mental hospitals, susidial, broken hearted and has messed up a bright future i could have had. days and weeks im ok and others my mental disorder( o.c.d, anxity and depresion) keeps me dibilated. i seen what it also has done to others life...and how people just dont seem to understand it, not validating someone, ect. if anyone does not have any mental illness, pleas understand are illness is as real as any other. get the word out. thanks
hi darlingtester, has anyone ever discussed conversion disorder w/you? not suggesting you are in this category but it would be something to learn about or prevent and is treated much like a combo, neuro/psych issue, yet is still largely misunderstood. The best approaches at centers of excellence (like Mayo) are comprehensive.(conservative meds, biofeedback "the wild divine", physical exercise or PUBLIC GARDEN therapy, support, self awareness (cognitive learning)
I'm not getting better over the years and this disability check isn't NOTHING! So It stress's me out cause I have 3 kids now and a wife that won't work and I support all on just my SSI check. I have a Vid thats 10 vids long linked to each other I posted today take a glance and let me know if I relate to any of you with my issues. in my vids I start from childhood to now and all thats happen to me since then to where and why I became disabled! Take care man! I CAN RELATE!
I relate to your problems as well and My blood pressure during Panic attacks get over 190 over 110. to where they have to give me a shot to calm me down and bring my blood pressure down. This kept happening and I'm in shape so weight wasn't the issue. So I'm 26 now and been put on a BetaBlocker Blood pressure pills due to this. My problems started hitting when I was 18 and thats when I was found Bibolar and many more issues. I started drawing disability then at 18 and I'm now 26.
anxiety attacks come first. If you don't take care of them it escalates into Panic Attacks. Do you also have agoraphobia where you don't leave the house?I don't recognize your meds. They use Zyprexa, Geodone,Abilify, xanax,Resperidone here in USA. Research it on the web! Good Luck.
laying the cards down on the table, tou need to be more positive, my advice join a gym start some cardio work or strength training,i found this worked for me as richards 1986 says propranolol contains hgh so it will be easier to bulk this may help your self confidence and positivity,i was put on this medication as an alternative to valium.
im on propranolol dude, i exercised 4 days ago and my muscles cained. so anyways i checked online and they do induce HGH which is why, the muscles is keeping growing. so anyways do some weight training and itl build quicker n ul feel better about yourself. l8rz
I have had serious breakdowns and panic attacks, You are on big doses of Citapralom and Propranolol man, i aint no doctor, but i take 10mg of citapralom and 10mg diazepam a day, and works for me. MAIN THING IS, as soon as panic/negative thougts appear, breath, relax and chcuk them out of your mind before anxiety spirals out of control. anxiety is addictive because of serotinon and adreneline rush it realeases. beat it and you aint gonna go mad man.
I started getting panic attacks 5yrs ago it was very severe. Since then ive come along way. The best thing i could say 2 u is to try to be more selfless. maybe get involved in charity work. Sumtimes i just offer up the pain for people i love. It doesnt always stop right away but it always changes my attitude. Remember "true love casts out all fear" ST Paul. And also remember that God loves u!!!(He wouldnt have created u otherwise) and Hes holding you in the palm of his hand, so "be not afraid"!!
i worked in charity.i had the job that i always wanted to have. my attack didnt stop.i hided in home for 1 year.a doctor recomanded yoga.i am ok now. finally,i can control my breath.
(continued from below again) I think that these problems may be related, though I am no expert. You should try to deal with the anorexia thing first because I think it could take out two problems at once, personally.
Just noticed the date of this video. Hopefully, you've sorted yourself out already but if not, I hope my advice helps.
(continued from below) the calories for, using weighing scales and reading the lables and such, and she worked out set meals and snacks for every day of the week, so it added up to just over that of the recommended daily allowance (for you, being a guy, it'd be around 2600) and then gradually, over time, she gained weight. She still follows this plan and she now looks a lot healthier.
I'll give you the advice that I, myself, have been given, which I have only just chose to listen to.
It can have a lot to do with your diet. You say you have anorexia. This may be where the problem lies. I don't have anorexia, I just eat unhealthily, so I don't know how hard it is, but my sister was anorexic and she overcame it.
What she did, is she wrote down an eating diary, and weighed up all the calories of foods she'd counted (continued above)
Panic attacks suck ass! Mine consist of heart palpitation (bad ones!) slowed breathing, feelings of spaciness, chest pain and lots of fear. I've been getting them for about 2 years. Doc tried several anitdepressents. All made matters worse. Ativan works for me, so he kept me on it. I try not to take it too much because if i do i build up a tolorance and need more. Its hard beleieve me
It took me two courses of cognitive behavioural therapy to get rid of it.I had anxiety and panic disorder. You WILL get better.I know it never feels like you will but you will.Keep believing that.
I can relate to the breathing difficulty and found that an intense exercise program helps. The days I work out there are fewer panic attacks. Absolutely stay clear of drugs and alcohol! Get used to being winded and out of breath. Remember that a panic attack is really just flight or fight response. You need to become a warrior my brother, start training, take care of your body and mind.
I am a long time sufferer too. I can relate to what your saying and I have been following a few calming techniques that I found here.
Check out Healingmagic and Paul Mckenna. I can assure you that you will find something in both of them to calm yourself and begin to control the shaky feelings. You sound overwhelmed at the moment with life stuff, I too am going through alot at the moment and everyday is a challenge but getting better. Keep us posted!
well just know that you're not alone...i go through alot of the stuff you mentioned too. Try behaviour therapy if you havent already. I know it could be qquite expensive but it'll be worth it if it helps you put. And just really try to be happy and have faith, and find what you really love and do it. Success and happiness will come naturally along with it.
Try whatever drugs your psychiatrist thinks might help. Someone said, "Steer Clear of Drugs", but obviously they've never had severe anxiety and agoraphobia. Agoraphobia ruins your life and if a prescription drug can help you..then take it. Exercise, nutrition, etc. is important....but it won't cure agoraphobia...for this you need meds and counseling. I got through it...but I understand how hard it is.
yeah hey mate, ive been posting like a madman on these pages. Yep, i have a generalised anxiety disorder, weed didnt help, but ive always been a nervous person. I medicate with alcohol, which is not good at all, im currently on paroxetine which doesnt really work. Exercise and nutrition are paramount though mate and keeping your mind occupied, cause we really just think ourselves into a frenzy, mind over matter.
Hey, I suffer with postnatal depression, generalised anxiety disorder and severe health anxiety. I am seeing a psychologist it helps a little you should try it if you havent already. I find that alcohol generates anxiety, which is a shame as I love the weekend so much! Healthy eating, exercise, and talk about it. Realising you are not the only one helps. Good luck. I dont know if there is anyway you can talk to me I'm new to this but im Keleigh, 19 and if theres anyway I can help I will.
it's natural! dont panic. lack of exercise will create a crazy adrenaline build up that causes panic. use it up in exercise and rough sex and you'll be lifted and elated. it will also release endorphins which is the bodys natural pain killer and help promote seratonin, your bodies 'happy' chemical. have a positive outlook. eat healthy and try to get enough sleep....without sleeping pills lol good luck
hello, I've suffered Panic Attacks(not severely) but enough to write a song about it.Mine was probably caused by 20 years of cannabis smoking so don't go down this road. You come across as a lovely person and I hope things pick-up for you.
Hey man. Word of advice, steer clear of drugs! Please. They don't HELP you, they avoid the issue and ignore your anxiety. So it's still there, it's just getting pushed further and further into you, hidden. That said, there are several great ways to overcome anxiety. Exercise. Gym. Health. Nutrition. Counselling. Hynotherapy. Heaps. Good luck. Get off the Drugs you are taking, talk to your doctor about alternative methods cos there are loads.
Hey dude i get the same way but i don't maen 2 offend u in anyway posible but i think that u might be getting these attacke is becaues ur body isn't getting eoung engery from food and it's just runnign on empty again i'm am sorry if i ofended u but i use sipk out on breakfast and luch 4 two years and i started getting attacks but just try eating and sleeping and if u get an attack try think about something eles or go listen 2 ur favoet band or something like that it works 4 me maybe it will 2 u!
prounounced Flu-oxe-teen. This Anti-depressant drug can be more affective than the drugs you have listed, ask your doctor for more info. REMEMBER: All Mental health problems can be helped with Excircise and a health diet. Good Luck.
I may also try Mitrazapine soon too as that did help me in the past but made me too sleepy, Same with Trazadone which was even worse for making me sleepy.
I need to stop drinking first though. Never go dow nthe same road as I did and start drinking, it may work at 1st but you end up with more problems.
Diazepam/Valium & Alcohol is the only thing that has ever helped me, although both are a double edge sword and in the long term only mask a problem and in the end make that problem worse when you get addicted to them or rely on them too much.
I have bought some Kava Kava and i am going to try that soon, it is a herbal medication and works like Diazepam but without the addictiveness and sleepyness. I'll let you know how it goes.
Citalpram made me feel worse when I tried it and made me hyper/manic and exagerated the anxiety & panic attacks. However I know other people who take it for depression and it helps them, not too good IMHO for anxiety though.
Propronal helped me with my heart palpatations and migraines slightly.
I so relate to you and your symptoms... The symptoms do seem to come and go. I had anxiety when I was a small child but I never told anyone. I thought I was crazy, I was7 or 8 years old. They lasted through my early twenties. I'm 32 now and just lost my job and now they're slowly coming back... Excercise always helped me, but you need to eat if you work out...
There's a rational approach to dealing with the panic attacks...your doctors have probably been working with you on this. Please let us know how it's going.
I am very concerned for you,not just for your symptoms. You've been on lots of medicines that do not seem to help. Seizure-like symptoms, depression, anxiety and anorexia. Some of the symptoms might have started after you started taking the medicines. Try to make a timeline out of all your symptoms and troubles, a personal history of when things started and/or ended, not explaining, just telling your story.
Decent blokes like you never deserves this. I hope things improved. Be good to yourself.
After accepting your thoughts and feelings without judgement, they won't cause you as much suffering. Because your problems seem to be a reflection of an internal conflict and resistance--intense resistance. Accepting is letting the thoughts and feelings arise within you without judgement. Just watch them arise. Always know one things, all these thoughts and feelings are arising in you, so you should accept them, they are a part of you.
omg, you're the first one i 'hear' say that. That's what i also did, don't know, just got fed-up with it all and i let it come on me and let it take it's course. I learnt alot during that/this period. It's over now, in remission maybe. But i'm doing great.
Talking 2 people that have the same problem you will feel understood, and you will feel like you're not alone. When I get a panic/attack, I say "Oh it's a panic attack, well, it will pass."
I feel bad 4 you,and i know that God can help you ,and wants 2.Jesus said cast your burdens on to me because i care 4 you,He 2 said you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.Ive prayed 2 the Lord many a time and he pulled me out of troubled waters Its not praying in a religious way,but from the heart telling God all your problems, and needs, and even asking help 4 lack of faith or unbelief.Peace 2 you.
Hello, The person I recommend is Dr. Temple Grandin. Look for her on Google. Some of her interviews are shown on YouTube. She is an expert on anxiety, panic, terror, and how to deal with it very effectively.
Dr. Grandin is brilliant indeed, and Autism gives her a very different view of the world that might be helpful. Another to look for, maybe better known in the UK is Dr. David Barlow. Best wishes.
Anyone have inner ear problems? Here's a suggestion: Get the book "Phobia Free" by Harold N. Levinson. get it used on amazon or from the library for I have no financial interest in Levinson's work, just an emotional one. The book saved my life. Panic Attack free for 16 years from a simple inner-ear medication. Get your inner-ears checked, thoroughly.
Hello darlingtester1982. I felt very sad when I watched your video and I am sorry your having such an awful time. I wish you well. I believe counselling or solution focused therapy would help if that's at all available in your area. Hopefully one day you will be able to come off all that medication and have a happier time. I hope so.
I know what your going through, Ive suffered from Anxiety attack's for over 10 year's now, and it's a pain in the arse!! all the feeling's you have I have too, Im gonna order the Linden method, from what Ive read it sounds real promising!! worth giving it ago m8
i had panic attacks for months , this help me alot / berocca tables and a high dose of magnesiam tables as well , in a week after takin theses you will feel a lot better ,with the berocca tables your dreams maybe a bit more real like , buts its really worth it vitamin b 12 in this helps , try these they will help
i can relate to your hyperchondria in relation to the symptoms of anxiety like heart attacks death and especially insanity, i overcame my attacks or at least the severity of them mainly through knowlege of what it was i was suffering from, the best thing to do is not combat or medicate the attacks as they are a manifestation of other problems try and find confidence in something sports could help massivly.
I managed to overcome mine as I describe in one of my videos... but everyone is different. For me it was about just training myself to put myself into a more relaxed frame of mind whenever they came on... if that helps. Just bear in mind that it can be beat. Good luck!
Hey, here's something really simple to keep in mind if u have a panic attack again: no one has ever died from a panic attack. Most people worry they'll stop breathing or have a heart attack, but the fact is, you won't. Just remind yourself of that if you feel an attack coming on and it will help calm you down. Good luck to you!

jayguy173 9 months ago
@jayguy173 celexa somewhat works for anxiety but i strongly suggest benzodiazepine medications! dam and i forgot to say that my doc prescribed me propranolol and it made me feel weird and gave me the worst headache but he only gave me 10 mg and told me to take twice a day. I only took one of the 10 mg and dont want to take ne more. I am concerned because i read on the internet that you have to ween off beta blockers but since i only took one can i just not take any more?????
smileyg333 8 months ago
@smileyg333 no you do not because itse for hearts it kicks in for about 8 hours and slows the heart and helps you be slowed down thats how beta blockers work, another thing I can tell from your post that you worry to much. Do whatever works best for you also try some exercise
jayguy173 8 months ago

Nimbo1979 2 years ago
Benzodiazepines should be avoided as a long term measure - Highly Habituating!!! your doctor wouldn't supply these in your age range!!! Some people find using anti-histimenes (e.g Diphenhydramine HCl) useful, the slow the mind down a tad (drowsy).
Nimbo1979 2 years ago
BetaBlockers such as Propanolol (Inderal/Half inderal) curtail tachycardia!!! This doesn't help the feelings and behaviours of anxiety . SSRI's such as Fluxetine/Citalopram are antidepresents which are not very good at treating anxiety disorders doctors prescribe these all to often to people with anxiety disorders (Not Useful). Buspirone is pretty good in some patients it is non-habituating and has a better side-effect profile than SSRI's.

what i do when i feel a little anxious is i try not to think whatever it is that is making me anxious and i think of something else like i tell myself yeah it's my anxiety but it's ok it will pass i'm gonna be ok or focus my attention to something else. i don't recommend the prescriptions because my anxiety was gone for about a year and went to see my a psychiatrist because of my depression and when i took the drug my anxiety came back.

i really feel for anyone that has anxiety and depression i've had it for 5 years now. it was really bad for me in the beginning because i didn't know how to deal with it, i didn't get help because i didn't even know what it was. everything i learned how to deal with it was by myself. i had really bad anger issues and pushed everyone i cared for away. i still have some anxiety now but it's not as severe as before.

sounds like a lack of potasium, get your blood checked out as well, potasium helps your muscles and heart, when its low it can cause muscle and heart spasms, very much like panic attacks, ask your doctor about this, and yes get off meds but talk to doc first. I have had serious breakdowns and panic attacks, You are on big doses of Citapralom and Propranolol man, i aint no doctor, but i take 10mg of citapralom and 10mg diazepam a day, and works for me. MAIN THING IS, as soon as panic/negative thougts appear, breath, relax and chcuk them out of your mind before anxiety spirals out of control. anxiety is addictive because of serotinon and adreneline rush it realeases. beat it and you aint gonna go mad man.

there is a root cause of them
find out where and when you are when they happen; keep a private diary of when they happen and learn not to worry too much about life that you can
Try to eat healthy and exercise it will make you feel better
Spend some quiet time as well and get into writing that could help. No one has to read it just get things out on paper.
Don't complain too much. Remember your choices are half chance, so are everybody else's

(continued from below again) I think that these problems may be related, though I am no expert. You should try to deal with the anorexia thing first because I think it could take out two problems at once, personally.
Just noticed the date of this video. Hopefully, you've sorted yourself out already but if not, I hope my advice helps.

Hey, I suffer with postnatal depression, generalised anxiety disorder and severe health anxiety. I am seeing a psychologist it helps a little you should try it if you havent already. it's natural! dont panic. lack of exercise will create a crazy adrenaline build up that causes panic. use it up in exercise and rough sex and you'll be lifted and elated. it will also release endorphins which is the bodys natural pain killer and help promote seratonin, your bodies 'happy' chemical. have a positive outlook. eat healthy and try to get enough sleep....without sleeping pills lol good luck

Here in the UK the National Health Service offers free Cognitive Behavior Therapy treatment for anxiety and panic attacks.
Many hypnotherapists claim they cure panic attacks in up to 3 sessions.
I've also read about the Lefko and Linden methods.
My advice to you is not to wait.
Speak to a doctor. Tell him/her that you'd like to get treatment with specialist instead of getting prescription.
If he/she doesn't understand your condition or just wants you to take drugs go to another doctor.

I may also try Mitrazapine soon too as that did help me in the past but made me too sleepy, Same with Trazadone which was even worse for making me sleepy.
I need to stop drinking first though. Never go dow nthe same road as I did and start drinking, it may work at 1st but you end up with more problems.
take care, you are not alone.

I'll let you know how it goes.
xecutey 4 years ago
Citalpram made me feel worse when I tried it and made me hyper/manic and exagerated the anxiety & panic attacks. However I know other people who take it for depression and it helps them, not too good IMHO for anxiety though.
Propronal helped me with my heart palpatations and migraines slightly.

I hope so.

i can relate to your hyperchondria in relation to the symptoms of anxiety like heart attacks death and especially insanity, i overcame my attacks or at least the severity of them mainly through knowlege of what it was i was suffering from, the best thing to do is not combat or medicate the attacks as they are a manifestation of other problems try and find confidence in something sports could help massivly.
