  • Ive tried both 2008 V1 and a Redine. Put a rear radar/ laser ant on the redline, plus the arrows and it would be perfection. I like the redline better on 35.5Ka, about the same with K on both detecters. Valentine will update this detecter soon.

  • This was forward facing radar. V1 is not as good with forward facing. The STI R is an unbelieveable detector and with RDR off and band segmentation set it doesn't even miss quick trigger ka shots

  • you shouldn"t run 2 detectors in the same vehicle..v1 is the best

  • Bel STi-r with the V1 makes the perfect detector. Everyone talks about how they wish a company would come out with a perfect detector. STI-r and V1 is the perfect detector. V1 arrows and great detection and Sti-r King of detection and you have the perfect radar detection.

  • Any plans to try out the Redline?

  • I have friends who have tested it and it's highway range is close to the V1, but once again escort ignored their problem with detecting quick trigger, so I don't have any plans on purchasing a redline. If you are looking for a great detector the V1 is king.

  • Yeah, I have an Escort X50. I tested it against my buddy's V1 a few weeks ago going from OKC to Dallas. They alerted the same to instant on. His picked up a stationary radar about 3 seconds quicker. I'm not sure his is the latest version of V1. It is like a year or two old. I think I may buy both and do a side by side comparison.

  • Is this the STI Driver? The only 100% invisibile RD? That's really weird. I thought V1 was supposed to be the best in the world? Is this the first time this has happened?

  • This is the STi-R, Beltronic's remote/custom installed radar detector. It is invisible to spectre/VG2 like all other Bels. It is a great RD and competes with the V1 on every level except quick trigger shots. I have it set to frequency identification mode, which combined with the V1's arrows and bogey count make one close-to perfect RD

  • nice trapster warning;)

  • i think those two Are clashing. see the new GOL tests. v1 is almost to the top.

  • They don't interfere with eachother. GOL tests are good for static test results. Real world is subject to lots of variance.

  • V1 got owned that time.

  • There is Something about the V1 and Ka bands. The rear antenna has unbelievable range compared to the front.
