@KeepingDeathAlive...Its the drummer that is the problem. He is try to "Fill" way to much with double taps etc.

But in his defense, at these award shows they don't get much rehearsal because of all the different production things going on other than the bands that are performing. He was trying a little to hard to make it awesome. They should just let her play the song as it was originally intended by Amy. Her and the Piano on this song is more powerful in its simplicity!

Thank you so uch for the effort of explaining to me! I see now, she was a bit disappointed..but she doesn't need to worry because we know how good she is. That she was like that is just another sign that she cares much about how she performs! Besides, this wasn't her 'fault' or anything. And like you said....he probably tried too hard. If I recall, this was caused by some sort of a technical glitch that made her play and sing a bit lower. The orchestra adjusted on the go, the only thing that couldn't be adjusted was guitars. Result is this. The band part is a disaster, but only due to a mistake, nothing more. Every single one of us screws up from time to time, so why couldn't they. Just give them a break. This doesn't make them any less awesome.

@czmeph No, not a technical glitch. It was human error. The technician for the piano screwed up big time, she was playing in the wrong key. The drums sound totally off and the guitars are too soft because of the technicians too. Notice the string players were on the stage from the start, they knew what the problem was. When the band members went on, I think they couldn't hear that it was the wrong key. I couldn't hear it myself because it was kinda flooded by the strings and the drums. My $0.02.

Someone messed it up, the piano is tuned in another key than it should be. the orchester realized it but the band (and probably amy herself) didn't realize it. That's why it sounds so crappy when the band drops in.
