  • I love it when seasoned professionals are willing to share what they know allowing so many others to learn from it (just look at the # of views) - during my clinical rotations so many members of the healthcare team in various positions seemed to feel like we all need to struggle and stumble along as they did as rookies - I will make sure to always share with those who are coming in, needing some guidance and reassurance. After all, the more we all know the better off all our patients will be.

  • my blood prusser now 128 over 60

  • i did it about 4 month ago ,very painful

  • @darwishish Hi, the surgery or stent?

  • @sandyfaym the surgery

  • i have one, I almost died as an infant, had a subclavian graft (they don't even fix it that way anymore, they took my subclavian artery out of my left arm and grafted it onto the coarc- now they "splice" the vessel at a diagonal and completely remove the coarc)- and I had a stent put in at age 29 last year to repair it, which normalized my blood pressure. I still have to watch it and face potential complications with pregnancy.

  • @chickenetti Hi, can you tell me where you had your stent put in? I'm a bit older than you and I have been told by some doctors that as you get older your artery does not strech as much so they are reluctant to put in. As I read about what a surgery would be like, I can't bring myself to do that. Would appreciate the info.

    Thanks, Sandy
