I love how I can type in "bettyskitchen" and an ingredient or dish title and get Betty's version! I made the bread pudding, and also loved the addition of lemon juice to my milk (pancake batter) to make it buttermilk-ish. So good!

This recipe looks DELICIOUS! I have two ziplock bags full of unfrosted homemade whipped-cream cake (a popular cake, my grandma says, during World War II) and I was wondering if can substitute this cake in place of the bread when making your pudding? Thanks ever so much! I love your down-to-earth homemade recipes!!! Keep up the GREAT work!!
