  • Yours are fine. I had mine bled, and it's just reach adjustment. The little hex screw that is attatched to the lever, move it in towards the resevoir and you will move the lever further from the grip, works nicely after. And as for people who rip on juicy 3, you must realize it is an ENTRY LEVEL HYDRAULIC BRAKE system! Quit bitching about it not working properly. It's the Honda Civic of the Brake world, it will get the job done, but it's no Ferrari!!!

  • My brakes are very similar I don't think they needed bleeding it just seems I have to apply a lot before the brakes actually engage. Maybe it need a fluid top up and not a bleed but that would surely suggest a leak?

  • no nothing problum is of oil when u will change oil it will ok and now also it ok

  • I would not say you have to, but if you want the handle to come further in/out, you can adjust it easily - I would go onto the avid website to get a diagram, but the small alan key fitting closest to the handlebar (next to the lever) can be tightened or loosened to have the brake come on at different pressures.

  • did your juicy brakes work perfekt when they was new??? my brakes dont have enny power inn the handle please help :)

  • @MrWii96 I have some avid juicy 3 I bought them on january and they work perfect, but then I clean the pads and the disc and now I feel they arent working good

  • @ruben8828 dont ever clean your disc unless you get oil on it (oil from your skin, chain lube, etc). if that happens, wipe it clean with a bit of rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. if your skin ever touches your rotor, wipe it off. 90% of the time, dirt, mud, and water will actually improve your braking.

DONT EVER CLEAN YOUR PADS! you might as well throw them out. any time your skin or oil touches the pads, they are trash. have a shop replace them.

mtb rule 1: if it ain't broke, dont fix it!

  • @gurcsik M8 you really dont know what your on about i have avid elixirs and juicy 3s and ive gotten grease on the pads you just remove them and get a piece of super fine sand paper and rough it up a little and it removes all the oil and crap on them.

  • no you shouldn't bleed them they are fine they are suppose to come 1/4 to half way to the handle bar

  • @bahbahlocchi are these easy to pull ???
