The brute is a mixture of Turiano, Krogan and rachni.The head is a Turian, his right arm is a rachni and the left is a Krogan, robotic legs are half and half krogan your back and bones that appear to be born the ribs. It is a real aberration.

The "drones" as flying over Shepard are Turian ships. In Kasumi's loyalty mission when you're in the art room, there is a sculpture of a similar looking ship in the back. Kasumi states that it is a Turian ship. I could be mistaken as this is from memory =)

First, the ships assailing the Reaper are not drones. They are small frigates or fighters, as have been seen in ME2 on multiple occasions. Second, yes, it is Tachunka. That tower is the same featured in Grunt's loyalty mission and is used to summon indigenous critters for the right of passage.

Seriously, journalists should really research their subjects before releasing any material on them if they don't know what they're talking about.

the "massive creature/monster" is a thresher maw and it appears in both me1 and me2, in me2 grunts loyalty mission (on tuchanka) involves summoning the thresher maw with the keystone or 'hammer' as its called in the video clip you've shown.

Its a Thresher Maw, and contrary to what people have been saying, they are not just in the first Mass Effect. You fight one on Tachanka and get extra internets from the Krogan for actually killing it. In Mass Effect 1 they are only fought whilst in the roving tank that you drive. In Mass Effect 2 you get to face one on foot. If you read the codex entry in game it says that they are on almost every planet and reproduce by sending out spores, just like a deadly intergalactic coconut.

the brute is a husk made from a turian. the reapers will huskify all of the races and you will have to fight against them all in husk form at one point or another. the one in the trailer is turian because of the spines fraying from the back of the head and the snout. pretty cool

Thresher Maw, has been in both of the previous games. It is Tuchanka(a developer said earlier that there will be a reaper v thresher maw battle on tuchanka) I'm leaning towards those fighters being Turian, but that's only speculation. The tower seems to have a mass relay type effect to it(see the conduit, Mass Effect 1) and in conclusion, that reaper did get pretty damn pwned.

I was on the Bioware forums, and there was a thread about the new Brute enemy. A member of Bioware said "It isn't a Turian/Krogan husk or a Yahg husk. Think of something with biger and broader arms and shoulders"
