I've spoted George Maharais of Route 66 dancing in the background of the original 1953 porduction of "Marty". I've also seen Roy Scheirder daning in the background of A Wind form the South", a 1955 US Steel Hour production. You never know what star is going tob edancing in the background of these old shows.
HA! He wanted to dance onscreen with James Earl Ray but the no way were the producers gonna let 2 guys dance with each other on national TV. Instead they wore each other's underwear....
Gomer was a spin - off from the Andy Griffith show & you would be surprised to see all the extras from Andy that became super famous - Like Jack Nicholson
I was gonna say the goofball who got put into the Gorilla cage at the end of Trading Places, but that was just ANOTHER role he played. I expecially liked his "polite" comment to the lady who was waiting for the phone while he was using it. Really it wasn't a very nice thing to say.
@jcritchie I put an annotation highlight about 10 seconds in to make it clearer who I am referring to. The answer is included in the video clip at the end. It's also been answered correctly in the top comments by Zsanese, but I guess it would've been more prudent to use 'semi-famous' in the title since Mary Tyler Moore is way too famous for what I was looking for.
@jcritchie This is unrelated to this episode, but I once saw Linda Grey (Suellen on "Dallas") on an episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies"! She was quite young, maybe early 20s! She was a girl who was trying to win over Jethro w/a bunch of cookies she baked. The only problem was, he only wanted the cookies, not her! Hilarious!
