  • they should remake this awesome golden game

  • i'm playing OUTLAND on Xbox 360 and it reminds me so much of FLASHBACK

  • oh i played this on pc like, nostalgia factor to the roof

  • One of the best SNES games and id go as far as saying one of THE best games ever, amazing

  • @JamieDaCosta

    The snes version sucked.

  • @Kraftwerk67 Seems fine to me.

  • @JamieDaCosta amiga version and megadrive are much better than the SNES

  • Can anyone explain to me how the hell the jumping is supposed to work? I can't seem to figure it out. This game is much better than the horrible out of this world but it's still somewhat off. It's not a bad game, just a little mediocre. I'll have to try heart of darkness though

  • this is better that the mega drive version that I am playing mostly in the sound

  • is it just me or does this remind you of abe's odyssey

  • I wish the "pick up" tune would happen every time I picked something up.

  • Das Game ist immer noch Top .

  • Hahaha, awesome, me n my siblings always loved the picking-up sound effect. Glad to see we're not the only ones even after all these years. XD

  • I want the sound @1.33 for my msg alerts..

  • You can do it by downloading Real player. Open up this webpage in Real player, then click on the "Download This" tab whenever you hover over the movie screen, and then once it's done downloading, convert it to an mp3 or wav. then use Audacity to cut away the unwanted parts of the sound file, and then save "that" as the message alert ......cuz that's what i'm about to do :D

  • this was one of the games that marked my childhood. not make more games like this. thanks for the video!

  • Ahh slow and jerky animation, it the Snes version alright.

  • @Paul07791 I think its emulator's fault.There is sped-ups and downs.

  • @Carthsting Nope, I remember it on an actual Snes, the Genesis/megadrive version is alot smoother. I was dumbfounded at the time because I assumed the Snes to be better in every way.

  • i had this on my snes and loved it

  • awesome game

  • for what i know cdms has a storage of 700 megabyes and cf cards could store over 64 gigabytes,

since most snes games are not bigger then 2 megabytes atleast 6 megabytesmi wonder HOW THE HELL COULD NINTENDO ETC.. EVER STORE SUCH HICH QUALITY MUSIC AND ANIMATION SCENES on such litle space???

  • This was one of the first truly cinematic games in VG history (for at least a popular console) and sans the awful games from the 3DO etc.

  • i still have this gamne for my snes. used to play it back in Jr. High like 15 years ago! i'l still play it every now and then. still an awesome game. deathtower is the shit!

  • Apparently HOTA is only as Canon as you make it. i belive Eric Chachi himself said something to that effect, but i'm not really sure.

  • As much I as I loved OOTW's bizarre, otherworldly atmosphere (which is *still* unmatched as far as I'm concerned!), I always thought this was the superior game between the two.

I had no idea Eric Chahi had no part in it, though. I guess I just assumed because it was Delphine. :P

  • the SNES version of the intro music sounds like a 70's cop TV show

  • damn right i remember competing this on mega drive with my dad when i ws like 5 or sum shit like that, the only game that ever stood up to this in my eyes was ffv7!! damn i wish i still haf my mega drive, id like to get hold of this game now apparently it was on the n64 too, i cant believe it wasnt on the mega drive ultimate collection!

  • dont know about it being on 64 but i agree this game is amazing!

  • just thanks for posting this.

i love this game. one day someone will cover this and it'll be genius.

  • One of my favourite games ever.

Completed it a number of times - great story line. I think I remember some levels made of glass - a TV show or something - level 3, I think - and that was my favourite.

Funny pose at 3:47 while the menu is up ;P

  • Better sound effects, but much slower cutscenes and game play than the genesis here.

  • I agree, I wasn't a fan of the red T-shirt either.

  • If you ever get the time and the energy, the whole Ian memory procedure cut-scene would be sweet. Showcasing the entire song and all.

    Nice video, nice work =)

  • I love this game to no end!!!

  • lol noob. u jumped right into the vaporizer.

  • I use to jog home just to play this damn game...Great game. Some parts hard as shit

  • omfg! I've spent years trying to figure what this game was. I can still remember the intro from when i was a kid.

  • One of the greatest games of all time, still one of my favourites

  • this game is an incredibly hard but a rewarding experience, only thing it needs is more levels.

  • I always loved the tune that played when you got the hologram.

  • this is the best freakin tune eva

  • It made the memory re-plant procedure that much more enjoyable :D

  • @Mrster dedeeeee pilipiliplimm

  • An utterly brilliant game

  • This game creeped me out when I was a kid...

  • This game is one of the best games ever created for any console on the face of this earth. FACT.

  • And yet the PC version was still better :)

  • Hijo del Prince of Persia, muy buen juego !!!!

  • awesome game :>

  • awesome game :>

  • aah the days before "save games". you just needed to know you had a good few hours on a saturday to waste...as we all did TBH! Brilliant game, loved the storyline.

  • God I loved this game We need this again.

  • classic ...

  • this game is badass.

  • It's not sequel of Another World (Out of this world), is other game with same motor-game.

  • the music is best on this,,, the Snes ver :D

  • One of the best games ever of this generation, completed this game many times. Its just the way Conrad moves, its bloody class.

  • This is pretty amazing, given the power of the SNES

  • This is the best game ever . i had it back in 95 - 98 and i absolutely loved every single thing about this game it was mindblowing for its time and the soundtrack was fantastic! i want it again!

  • I hope they´ll make it available on the Xbox 360 or the WII marcetplace. I don´t need a revamped version, the original would do absolutely fine

  • a little bit like Metal Gear too. . .throwing an object to distract a guard. . .

  • I have Flashback. Its a cool game!!!

  • There was a SNES Version? Cool! Do you think you could post the "regaining memory" scene, too?

  • Thanks for the memories ;)
