Can anyone explain to me how the hell the jumping is supposed to work? I can't seem to figure it out. This game is much better than the horrible out of this world but it's still somewhat off. It's not a bad game, just a little mediocre. I'll have to try heart of darkness though
You can do it by downloading Real player. Open up this webpage in Real player, then click on the "Download This" tab whenever you hover over the movie screen, and then once it's done downloading, convert it to an mp3 or wav. then use Audacity to cut away the unwanted parts of the sound file, and then save "that" as the message alert ......cuz that's what i'm about to do :D
@Carthsting Nope, I remember it on an actual Snes, the Genesis/megadrive version is alot smoother. I was dumbfounded at the time because I assumed the Snes to be better in every way.
for what i know cdms has a storage of 700 megabyes and cf cards could store over 64 gigabytes,
since most snes games are not bigger then 2 megabytes atleast 6 megabytesmi wonder HOW THE HELL COULD NINTENDO ETC.. EVER STORE SUCH HICH QUALITY MUSIC AND ANIMATION SCENES on such litle space???
i still have this gamne for my snes. used to play it back in Jr. High like 15 years ago! i'l still play it every now and then. still an awesome game. deathtower is the shit!
As much I as I loved OOTW's bizarre, otherworldly atmosphere (which is *still* unmatched as far as I'm concerned!), I always thought this was the superior game between the two.
I had no idea Eric Chahi had no part in it, though. I guess I just assumed because it was Delphine. :P
damn right i remember competing this on mega drive with my dad when i ws like 5 or sum shit like that, the only game that ever stood up to this in my eyes was ffv7!! damn i wish i still haf my mega drive, id like to get hold of this game now apparently it was on the n64 too, i cant believe it wasnt on the mega drive ultimate collection!
Completed it a number of times - great story line. I think I remember some levels made of glass - a TV show or something - level 3, I think - and that was my favourite.
aah the days before "save games". you just needed to know you had a good few hours on a saturday to waste...as we all did TBH! Brilliant game, loved the storyline.
This is the best game ever . i had it back in 95 - 98 and i absolutely loved every single thing about this game it was mindblowing for its time and the soundtrack was fantastic! i want it again!

This was one of the first truly cinematic games in VG history (for at least a popular console) and sans the awful games from the 3DO etc.

Apparently HOTA is only as Canon as you make it. i belive Eric Chachi himself said something to that effect, but i'm not really sure.

Better sound effects, but much slower cutscenes and game play than the genesis here.

If you ever get the time and the energy, the whole Ian memory procedure cut-scene would be sweet. Showcasing the entire song and all.
