  • I appreciate the comments. I added a video response to my original video above. Our pups are a little over 2 years old now. They have very strong predatory instincts. Murphy, the male, saw a cat on top of our 6' privacy fence. He chased it off the fence and then began a series of vertical leaps to look over the fence to see where it had gone. Glad he didn't see it on the other side or he would have gone right over the fence...he's an excellent climber.

  • We adopted one this past April, the rescue place thought she was a border collie mix, but after some research, we came to the same conclusion as you, Kelpie. She has the same characteristics, the nipping, and boy can she run and jump. She has the same body type as yours does, but has a little white on her nose and chest, her black coat has brown undercoat.

  • Yes they are Kelpie's. Beautiful Dogs. I own one and have trained him or protection. Very smart dog.

  • Definitely have Kelpie in them. You can tell from their body and ears.

After owning a couple of Kelpies, I don't think I could own another breed of dog.

    Super loyal, smart, and cunning.
