What a absolute monsterous track - reminds me of Saturday nights at the Safari Club , Windsor back in 1983 - amongst the jazz-funk they started playing some electro stuff in 1982/83 - some of the best nights of my life and this is a complete classic I've never got tired of. And that club was where I saw the Michael Jackson thriller video for the 1st time it was on the big screen they had there - everyone was watching it even the the more serious jazz-funkers!

I know EXACTLY what you mean... I have the same exact reaction, and was about the same age. I took tap and jazz dance classes all throughout the 80s and our teacher ALWAYS used this type of music (and tons of Michael and Janet J.) as warm-up music. GOD, those were the days....
