It's good that you reported them so other people wont get ripped off again & again. Your right how you can get better pigment than that at the dollar store, those fake MAC pigments are just plain junk in a pretty container lol
once i tried to buy resident evil 4 for my nintendo wii and then after a week of waiting, all i got was the little booklet that usually inside the game cases! man i was so pissed!
The funny thing is I actually use the fake mac pigments...They are the exact same!! the only difference is that the product doesnt Ball up like the original
gurl u shouldnt trust the seller from asia sometimes coz all there ingredients are fake and not good to your health .... go to shopcraze and cherylshinyeyes
obviously you didn't watch the entire video, or you would have known it was an auction, and no, my max bid was much higher than $5. That just happened to be the amount that won the auction. If I had known they were fake, I wouldn't have bid on them at all, much less bid a high max amount.
No you shut up! Well she didn't get a deal did she since they are FAKE pigments and £5 a jar! Real MAC pigments are like £25 in the UK, but she'd be better paying extra and then she know she's getting the real deal, you can easily be lied to and scammed over the internet.
It's crazy how people wanna take advantage in everything. If you want to use a mac make up for its quality, why wouldn't you pay for it? Yeah, it's expensive but if you cant' afford go buy another thing, it's so simple.
i find this dumb seriously. If its so cheap of course its fake.... u r stupid for buying it seriously . You want the real deal go to a freaking Mac store.
there not fake just because they dont have the name doesnt mean there fake. people who work in the factorys take them and sell them b4 they can do much with them. i have mine. it works PERFECTLY. andd i have like 19 pigments from the mac store. they work the same! if u dnt agree with me tht oh well put they are fine.

I got mine from America cos sometimes the exchange rate means you get a bargain, and so I had no reason to believe it would be fake.
What is wrong with buying fake makeup is the quality and the fact you don't know what is in it. If something went wrong, Mac couldn't be held responsible.

CRAP! I just bought 54 pigments on ebay and went to search on youtube to see if anyone else bought the same thing and came across this. I already paid so I don't know what to do. :(
Just received my MAC fake. The pigment lettering had errors on the back (jar itself). Fake reads "Toroto, London" (missing "n") in Toronto. 100% feedback e-Bay seller as well as U.S. seller.
Me too. I was really annoyed, disappointed. $150 Color codes only no names. I am still going to use them, some have good color, others won't stick even w/ udpp. Gave them my own color names I made up. I hope my eyelids don't rott off from potential lead/arsenic etc. that may be in them...
She obviously expected what they were described as. I'm a personal shopper and I can find TONS of brand name things that aren't fake a lot cheaper than if you were to buy them from the store. I hope all of you know that there's hardly a difference between MAC and other pigments.. You're just paying for the brand name, not necessarily the quality, so relax. I mean, why spent 40 or 50 bucks on something when you can get it for 5?
I mean it's EYE SHADOW. Let's keep things in perspective here.
I'm so sorry you got fakes:( I've been wearing them since they were made and have had my business now for 5 years. If you or anyone ever want any tips on how to spot fake full jars please feel free to contact me. With each order (direct from MAC) I mark down any small changes MAC has made or mfg errors on a lid batch, ect. I also have many very old jars to use to compare when buying rares.Sad thing is these sellers dont care about peoples eyes & damage they can cause.
I sell samples (cheryls shiny eyes) and save the rare jars to compare others with. since they are so rare they are hard to find and I like having original jars to make sure I dont get a rare fake. I keep jars from every time period for this reason and a sample of every color I've ever sold. I do have many current empty jars I sell for the BTM program, I wish I lived close to a store to use them myself:) Many of my buyers buy them to hold their samples in and other for the BTM program.
i'm so mad i'm waiting for mine in the mail, i already know they'll be fake. especially because the user is new and has no feedback, and the same product is sold by like five users without feedback
when i was bididng on some eyeshadow like this, 54 pigments for only 45 dollars i fgured what the heck and i really wanted them! but i realized everyone bidding and all the feedback was from peoples names that were... ****(numbers here) and i figured out it was all fake! very suspicious lol
I ordered 54 mac pigments off ebay so youre lucky you only got 10. Never the less with a good base, theyre great. I have a number of mac pigments and the color payoff etc with these are awsome.
FUCK EBAY! I bought 4 Pigments from Ebay and only 1 WAS REAL! Like why would u sell 1 REAL Pigment and 3 fakes in 1 package. Anyway i reported the seller and the fag doesnt wanna give me my money back!!!!!!!
i'm glad you are happy with them, I was in an auction situation, and entered the highest price i would pay, which was obviously much more than what I ended up paying...because I thought I was bidding on genuine MAC products. That is why I was so frustrated. But for the $5 per jar that I ended up paying, I guess they were worth that much. But when a product is advertised as MAC, and you don't get authentic product, it's very frustrating, not to mention illegal on the part of the seller.
Mindy, cheers for that video :) and Suushee, don't be so quick to judge peeps! Some sellers especially the chinese, thai etc not too mentione us sellers advertise their auction as "BRAND NEW,SEALED,AUTHENTIC MAC PALETTE,PIGMENT ETC"so peeps will be conned as it is very difficult to tell a fake from a photo!I would also advice NOT to buy any MAC,MAKEUP brushes at at all from eBay!99%are fakes.Just remember this 1 MAC,face powder brush costs£27,and look @this seller gg65655,previous sales! All fakes
& Ciao, 99% of MAC makeup sold on Ebay are fakes? WOW, you must've had a whole bunch of horrible buying experience to say that, or you're just blind. It's your responsibility as a buyer to ask the seller questions, why do you think the "Ask the seller a question" link is there? For you to use. If the seller isn't willing to provide any infomation/pictures then you can assume it's fake. Why generalize HK/China as bad just because of people who never attempt to ask sellers questions.
I asked the question of the seller, but they never responded. I did not 'assume' they were fakes just because they did not respond before auction end. Who knows why people don't respond, maybe they had a family emergency, maybe their email is down, etc. Those who are not crooks do not automatically assume that others are.
And to the poster of this video, why are you blaming the thailand seller for ripping you off? $5 for a MAC pigment? COME ON. You should have known there and then that it was FAKE pigment. So basically it's YOUR fault, and you just fell into her trap.
Thanks so much for the positive comment, and thanks for watching the entire vid, obviously you missed the part where it was an AUCTION not a buy-it-now price. Anyway, lovely to meet you and have a great day!
woah, that's upsetting. Before viewing this video, a while back I actually bought glitter from Philippines for 5$ & Free S/H. umm, that's gonna suck. but hey I got my mother in-law, that'd be her Xmas present :).
I have found a few sellers on Ebay selling lots of MAC eyeshadows (from HongKong). They are selling 24 pigments for £39.00GBP and free P+P (that's around 80USD ish). I think these are fake... I looked at their feedback. They have 22 positives and each one... the person only has 1 feedback from the original seller. They all have similar names with 5 numbers at the end of the username. So me thinks this person is a con ebayer making up fake accounts and leaving themselves feedback to convince u.
I hate buying stuff on ebay....I bought this purse off of ebay and it so happens that someone hacked into that persons account and sold items through that person's account. RIDICULOUS! I had to contact ebay and the seller, no one helped me. it was such a horrible horrible experience....I ended up filing a complaint through paypal and they took care of everything! phew.
Ok things to avoid on Ebay..never buy from China,H.K or Thailand that applies to any make up..look up on Ebay, for seller:cosmeticsbidding, all her MAC,SmashBox and Lancome is counterfeit!A friend of mine bought some stuff off her ;36 Lancome Cherie, juicy tubes for like £46,well it;s all fake!Use your common sense if it's to good to be true ...
Excuse me? I've bought plenty of makeup from China and H.K (Palettes, false eyelashes, eyeliner) and there was nothing wrong with them. I admit there are MANY fakes, but if people would use THEIR common sense and buy from power sellers rather than people who has less then 200 feedback, they would have been fine.
Suushee,Well maybe you like that kind of cheapo makeup ,made in god knows what "hygienic conditions".These fakes contain UNTESTED,DUBIOUS INGREDIENTS!
Also the counterfeiters use child labour in production of these fakes! If you are happy to buy from HK/China... then that's your choice as4 powersellers knightbidding, was a powerseller on ebay UK,she sold 1000ds of fakes before she was NARUD by eBay :)
read some of the eBay,guides peeps before you buy MAC,Lancome etc!:)
Cheapo makeup? Wow, how rude. You just insulted some youtube gurus on here. Being a makeup blogger myself, when makeup are sold out on certain websites, I turn to Ebay. Just like how the 88 eyeshadow palette was sold out on CS, people bought from Ebay. Same palette, same color payoff, the only bad thing was sometimes it came shattered. I use this palette everyday, and nothing has happened to my skin. I bought from a Hong Kong seller fyi.
I can't believe how quick people are to judge when Asia is brought up. Sure Asia sells fake stuff, EVERY damn place does. This just shows how small minded people are with their biased opinions.
Con,if you are happy with buying from Asia then that is fine. Most countefeiters ill gotten gains go towards funding terrorism and other dubious activities. Please don't make this into some racial issue that I have with Asia, cos I don't.Authentic MAC,products are never tested on animals do you get the same assurance from a fake? Also MAC,Viva Glam, products contributes every penny from their sales to their AIDS Found ,which helps fighting Aids,Malaria and TB,in many countries.
My girlfriend took them from ebay. She is a nail expert. This fake mac pigments do their job in nail art BETTER THAN THE REAL ONES.They have amazing quality for their money. The real costs 25euros!!!
juicy couture, diesel, guess, coach, prada, all brand names bought on ebay from sellers who are located in china, hongkong, taiwan, and all other asian countries are fake. M.a.c included!!! Be careful where and what you spent your money on. peace
this is sooo creul on u...im just starting my collection of pigments i soooo hope this doe'snt happen to me...im gonna add this to my fav's n check mine out wen they arrive!thanx and im sorry for you!!....annie...xxx
I'm so sorry to hear this - I said the items were not as represented - I paid for MAC pigments, and did not receive MAC pigments...however, the seller never responded to the dispute, therefore I automatically won - that was paypal's policy at the time...did the seller respond? If so, I would go with the argument that they did not ship you what you purchased!
a real MAC pigment only has a flat plastic disc over top of the picment itself and it isnt sealed, you can tip the disc right out. also, there are product name and number stickers on the box as well as the bar code is on a sticker. you probably knew most of that but this is just for anyone who doesnt.
nope, sadly i didn't know any of it, i just got suspicious when i opened the package and there were no names on the jars, so i did a google search for 'fake mac pigment' and viola...
I had a great lol when I looked at that seller's reply to the feedback you left them. "You very bad. Why you play fair game? I will remember you and make same you."
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! If anything, get amusement from that. But I am so sorry that you got ripped off. The innocent people will never win. I hope you strike a really great deal later on that will make up for this.
I always try to stay away from sellers that are from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan or any Asian country. Also be careful if the item is cheap and the postage is expensive. They are most likely asian seller. I am also very careful to check the negative and neutral feedbacks. That is probably the safest you can get. But you will never know until you receive them.
It is hard to tell until you actually look at them. Sorry to hear that. That would make me very peeved. Good vid though. I would not have guessed it to be that bad a quality. UR right about going to the dollar stores, they have some stuff that are better quality and not expecting it to be. :)
did u get your money back from Paypal/ebay? i hope you did...please reply back

I mean it's EYE SHADOW. Let's keep things in perspective here.

Man, that sucks!! They are really sneaky with how well they try to make the packaging! But Thailand and zero feedback is super sketchy...

do u use it ? the pigments?
plumjenny101 3 years ago
Hi,
I'm so sorry you got fakes:( I've been wearing them since they were made and have had my business now for 5 years. If you or anyone ever want any tips on how to spot fake full jars please feel free to contact me. With each order (direct from MAC) I mark down any small changes MAC has made or mfg errors on a lid batch, ect. I also have many very old jars to use to compare when buying rares.Sad thing is these sellers dont care about peoples eyes & damage they can cause.
sparklingeyes65 3 years ago
you should take those old jars to MAC. Six old jars and you get a free lipstick!
taccora 3 years ago
Hi,
I sell samples (cheryls shiny eyes) and save the rare jars to compare others with. since they are so rare they are hard to find and I like having original jars to make sure I dont get a rare fake. I keep jars from every time period for this reason and a sample of every color I've ever sold. I do have many current empty jars I sell for the BTM program, I wish I lived close to a store to use them myself:) Many of my buyers buy them to hold their samples in and other for the BTM program.

I'm sorry you got ripped off, but thank you for posting this. I was seriously considering taking a chance on a 54 piece set of MAC pigments on ebay.
TheSeeker124 3 years ago
i'm so mad i'm waiting for mine in the mail, i already know they'll be fake. especially because the user is new and has no feedback, and the same product is sold by like five users without feedback
riquellepickle 3 years ago
when i was bididng on some eyeshadow like this, 54 pigments for only 45 dollars i fgured what the heck and i really wanted them! but i realized everyone bidding and all the feedback was from peoples names that were... ****(numbers here) and i figured out it was all fake! very suspicious lol

suicarina 3 years ago
i'm glad you are happy with them, I was in an auction situation, and entered the highest price i would pay, which was obviously much more than what I ended up paying...because I thought I was bidding on genuine MAC products. That is why I was so frustrated. But for the $5 per jar that I ended up paying, I guess they were worth that much. But when a product is advertised as MAC, and you don't get authentic product, it's very frustrating, not to mention illegal on the part of the seller.
mindylcarter 3 years ago
are they going to pay you back or?
suicarina 3 years ago
have you tried the real mac pigment?
jennyjelly95 3 years ago
yes, a few in sample jars, so i had some idea of the quality I *should* have gotten.
mindylcarter 3 years ago
oh poor you. I understand your pain. mac pigments are just so amazing and then you get this crap.
kulturatka 3 years ago
All fakes
CiaoItalia04 3 years ago
& Ciao, 99% of MAC makeup sold on Ebay are fakes? WOW, you must've had a whole bunch of horrible buying experience to say that, or you're just blind. It's your responsibility as a buyer to ask the seller questions, why do you think the "Ask the seller a question" link is there? For you to use. If the seller isn't willing to provide any infomation/pictures then you can assume it's fake. Why generalize HK/China as bad just because of people who never attempt to ask sellers questions.
connieyumm 3 years ago
I asked the question of the seller, but they never responded. I did not 'assume' they were fakes just because they did not respond before auction end. Who knows why people don't respond, maybe they had a family emergency, maybe their email is down, etc. Those who are not crooks do not automatically assume that others are.
mindylcarter 3 years ago
genuine fakes lol
daisylovesmakeup 3 years ago
And to the poster of this video, why are you blaming the thailand seller for ripping you off? $5 for a MAC pigment? COME ON. You should have known there and then that it was FAKE pigment. So basically it's YOUR fault, and you just fell into her trap.
suushee 3 years ago
Thanks so much for the positive comment, and thanks for watching the entire vid, obviously you missed the part where it was an AUCTION not a buy-it-now price. Anyway, lovely to meet you and have a great day!
mindylcarter 3 years ago
woah, that's upsetting. Before viewing this video, a while back I actually bought glitter from Philippines for 5$ & Free S/H. umm, that's gonna suck. but hey I got my mother in-law, that'd be her Xmas present :).
ezik 3 years ago
I have found a few sellers on Ebay selling lots of MAC eyeshadows (from HongKong). They are selling 24 pigments for £39.00GBP and free P+P (that's around 80USD ish). I think these are fake... I looked at their feedback. They have 22 positives and each one... the person only has 1 feedback from the original seller. They all have similar names with 5 numbers at the end of the username. So me thinks this person is a con ebayer making up fake accounts and leaving themselves feedback to convince u.
Chrystal80 3 years ago 2
ugh that was annoying
this is why you never buy shit online

I hate buying stuff on ebay....I bought this purse off of ebay and it so happens that someone hacked into that persons account and sold items through that person's account. RIDICULOUS! I had to contact ebay and the seller, no one helped me. it was such a horrible horrible experience....I ended up filing a complaint through paypal and they took care of everything! phew.
MidnightSparkles17 3 years ago
Thanks for that :)
CiaoItalia04 3 years ago
Excuse me? I've bought plenty of makeup from China and H.K (Palettes, false eyelashes, eyeliner) and there was nothing wrong with them. I admit there are MANY fakes, but if people would use THEIR common sense and buy from power sellers rather than people who has less then 200 feedback, they would have been fine.
suushee 3 years ago
I wish I would have ran away from home and ruled the world when I was young and knew it all.
mindylcarter 3 years ago
Suushee,Well maybe you like that kind of cheapo makeup ,made in god knows what "hygienic conditions".These fakes contain UNTESTED,DUBIOUS INGREDIENTS!
Also the counterfeiters use child labour in production of these fakes! If you are happy to buy from HK/China... then that's your choice as4 powersellers knightbidding, was a powerseller on ebay UK,she sold 1000ds of fakes before she was NARUD by eBay :)
read some of the eBay,guides peeps before you buy MAC,Lancome etc!:)
CiaoItalia04 3 years ago

This just shows how small minded people are with their biased opinions.
connieyumm 3 years ago 2
Con,if you are happy with buying from Asia then that is fine. Most countefeiters ill gotten gains go towards funding terrorism and other dubious activities. Please don't make this into some racial issue that I have with Asia, cos I don't.Authentic MAC,products are never tested on animals do you get the same assurance from a fake? Also MAC,Viva Glam, products contributes every penny from their sales to their AIDS Found ,which helps fighting Aids,Malaria and TB,in many countries.

I filed a dispute on paypal and they said "As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund."
How did you get your money back?
chrisbbing 3 years ago
I'm so sorry to hear this - I said the items were not as represented - I paid for MAC pigments, and did not receive MAC pigments...however, the seller never responded to the dispute, therefore I automatically won - that was paypal's policy at the time...did the seller respond? If so, I would go with the argument that they did not ship you what you purchased!
mindylcarter 3 years ago
a real MAC pigment only has a flat plastic disc over top of the picment itself and it isnt sealed, you can tip the disc right out. also, there are product name and number stickers on the box as well as the bar code is on a sticker. you probably knew most of that but this is just for anyone who doesnt.
ibydesign 3 years ago
nope, sadly i didn't know any of it, i just got suspicious when i opened the package and there were no names on the jars, so i did a google search for 'fake mac pigment' and viola...
mindylcarter 3 years ago
That is really terrible. I wish there were more people online who have integrity.

that is so disgusting!! i hate fake mac on ebay..its really sad how the people who sell them actually have positive feedback!
im happy you reported them!!!

That is SO messed up! Ebay needs to crack down on the cosmetic sellers on Ebay - it's just not fair, especially since Ebay makes a profit as well.
mnelson2008 3 years ago
I had a great lol when I looked at that seller's reply to the feedback you left them. "You very bad. Why you play fair game? I will remember you and make same you."
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! If anything, get amusement from that. But I am so sorry that you got ripped off. The innocent people will never win. I hope you strike a really great deal later on that will make up for this.
beddersox 3 years ago
that's funny, I had not even checked that! made my day! well i got all my money back, so nana nana boo boo!!
mindylcarter 3 years ago
I always try to stay away from sellers that are from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan or any Asian country. Also be careful if the item is cheap and the postage is expensive. They are most likely asian seller. I am also very careful to check the negative and neutral feedbacks. That is probably the safest you can get. But you will never know until you receive them.
hotice19792004 3 years ago
I know..this seller had about a dozen positive feedbacks, no neg or neutral =(
mindylcarter 3 years ago
It is hard to tell until you actually look at them. Sorry to hear that. That would make me very peeved. Good vid though. I would not have guessed it to be that bad a quality. UR right about going to the dollar stores, they have some stuff that are better quality and not expecting it to be. :)
