Did you guys rented a car with an automatic or manuell transmission?
To the breakfast, did you had some german bread like schwarzbrot or brötchen?
I heard from a different person on yt that went to germany, that americans only have real soft bread and are not used to this type of bread. That peron said:"When i eat it i feel like i'm gonna break my teeth off."
@Lantra488 We drove manual transmissions except for the car in England (so we could get used to driving on the other side of the road!). I did eat the German breads (and I like them). Americans do have lots of soft breads and fewer rye style breads cause the softer ones are more popular, but we have good whole grain breads too that aren't super soft. Most people here prefer soft though.... ;)
Oh, and I take it you and Dodger couldn't find the time for doing another video together. Too bad really. I quite enjoyed watching those. You guys complemented each other really well in those vids. :)
@coregoon Why thank you! And yeah, we didn't really have time to record anything. She had lots of people to visit with besides us while she was up here.....
I've never been big on dancing. Or going to clubs for that matter. I've tried at least, uh, threeish(?) times... or thereabouts. Erm. Heh. Kinda goes hand in hand with being a social neanderthal I guess. :P
Having tourette's syndrome basically means that, in my case, I have a very narrow social comfort zone and anything outside of that makes me extremely awkward. xD
Why do you need to get IN the club to dance if you can hear the music while you're standing RIGHT NEXT to it? Besides loud thumping music is bad for your internal organs. DX
Really glad you enjoyed Germany. Being German myself I have never quite come to the realization that my country can potentially be beautiful for people that are not used to it. Videos like these always change my perception about where I am actually from and that it's okay to be proud of my country. You might know that this is sometimes an issue here. Thanks a lot for these videos!
@shaleyaregenherz You are welcome! And Germany happens to be my most favorite place ever! Partly because it's beautiful and partly because I'm (75%) German too, so it feels strangely like the home I've never lived in....... I can sometimes forget how awesome places over here are too though, so I get what you're saying. And it is so ok to be proud of your country, especially if it happens to be a super cool place to be! :)
@boltslaw He, I know. I've watched your videos with Dodger on Germany & Estonia and I was really enjoying myself. I really felt like I needed to apologize for the long line in front of the dance club and those damn smokers but every country has its ups and downs and you know that anyway. It's super cool here but I shared your realization: sometimes it feels like my home is elsewhere. I am studying American Studies, so I get that feeling almost every time when I go on the internet. ;)
@shaleyaregenherz Have you ever visited the States? Cause I can highly recommend Oregon if you haven't! Most of it actually resembles a lot of Germany which is maybe why I feel so comfortable over on your side of the pond. And kind of explains why we had so many Germans come settle here (like my family!)! :)
@boltslaw I haven't been to the States yet, which is really unfortunate. Many of my co-students have, though. So jealous. Oregon has always been on my list, mainly because I've only heard good things about Seattle. Right, a bunch of German immigrants went there. How does it resemble Germany? That's really interesting! :D
@shaleyaregenherz Well, there's lots of green, forest and partial forest, farm land, hills, mountains that all look pretty much like the parts of Germany I've been to. We just don't have windmills, castles and medieval towns. ;)
@boltslaw That's what I thought. Pretty much standard stuff here as well, you're right. You don't see much of those castles and medieval towns though if you are an average German citizen not actively seeking them out. I guess it's a nice thing to have but it's hard to get excited over some things you have always taken for granted. Even if it should be a necessary exercise for our minds to remind us of their worth. :)

@toomanyfires Well, one of my cats wouldn't stay in my lap for long and the other one would claw me to death from happiness and wouldn't sit still, otherwise, I would totally love that! My meows are super fluffy and cute!
Museums are absolutely wonderful. It appears I'm going to have to make a trip to Berlin to visit them. Thanks for making these vlogs, they're really informative and entertaining.
