@othpromo No, Im not laughing at him. It's awesome he enjoys the sport. Just to help his wrestling develop I would teach him not to use the headlocks and hook n half. Kids early on clean house with those techniques and then when they get older get surpassed by kids who concentrate on the rest of their technique. Noah practices everyday with many state and national champs. 10 of his teammates who I also coach just went to Tulsa a few weeks back and they took 6 1st place, 2 2nd place and 4th and 5th place. So he get great instruction.
BBJ about technique, so, thats the point, size doesn't matter with technique. Last fight was a good opponent, more exciting than some UFC fights now a days seriously LoL

I've only been training for 8 months but did my first NAGA event in Sept. and won all my fights in the 50-60lb. 6-7 y/o begginer division.. I also train with older kids up 13 years old and win a lot of those matches. Your a tuff kid and I'd like a match with you sometime !! Yeah IBJJF has kids divisions. Yeah I seen some videos linked to this one. The kid is a beast! IBJJF is as professional as they come to running tournaments. Check their website out, they have tournaments around the country and world constantly. Their in Chicago today.

Yeah I missed registering for the Chicago Open. I thought they have stuff for kids. I know not every tournament has kids stuff. Just figure I'd suggest the IBJJF. C3 which is usually around Gary, IN has kids stuff and it's a nicely run tournament.
Good job kid's obviously athletic and a great wrestler! Just know, once he starts getting older other kids will know more takedowns and how to defend them, also they will have the skill to get out of bad spots. Keep training and working hard, but be careful to rely on wrestling as the match winner and ace. This is a submission tourney, and in the older age brackets being a wrestler and simply getting the takedown won't win it too easily.
Not really, because they don't allow little kids to use submissions. That kid was tapping them out, because the kids felt powerless. Every little kid in kids club wrestling use to grab their neck and cry when they would lose.
I love it man, keep em coming, and try not to fall victim to people hating on a 7 year old...i'm guessing there kids suck at sports....really don't know what motivates them.
