I think part of the reason why they lost is because their live performances always seemed to be substandard, as this one was. Off key, unmotivated, no particularly commanding presence.

Unfortunately, this is when she was at her biggest, and there really was not much anyone could do at that point. What I find to be ironic is that Carnie was always hidden in their videos (at least her body was), but she still had to make all these public appearances.
