  • I love it how people try to argue with a guy whose back an shoulders are built like a brick shit house. Forms only good for avoiding injury but it inhibits explosiveness by keeping people at a controlled lesser weight. Ive tried both and my gains were faster when I stopped focusing on form. Doing what you can BARELY do is what pushes your body to ADAPT and in turn grow.

    I use these powerlaterals to build strength for 4-6 weeks so that I can add more weight to my stricter side lateral raises when I want to focus on mind-muscle connection and get overall fullness of my delts

  • This is how power laterals should be done as you go a little too far down. This takes the stress off of the muscle . There is too much upper back being used in your power laterals, this is why it looks a little like an upright row / rear delt raise.

The only thing i would try to do now is try and emphasize a negative as much as you can it's really brutal but really effective.

  • um, this goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. you clearly are using more weight than you can effectively handle. you should use a weight you could hold at the top of the movement, clearly you cannot.
