Katie, only if you played the Muslim wife version of Clair Huxtable. I want to see you wear a burka during the entire series, because that’s what respectful muslim women do. That's easy, look up any single interview that she's done for a democratic politician that is pro choice (I am too, it's just that Katie isn't professional enough to keep her audience guessing where she stands on issues).

You have to admit that the media talking heads like Katie have collapsing ratings due solely to their bias.

I can't stand FOX news as they are just whores for Israel and the wars that always seem to benefit the Israeli's.

Same with Sarah Palin, she's another whore for them.

@dgl1962 In the news business, ratings are collapsing in direct proportion to how professional the journalists are. Good, unbiased journalism does not get ratings. Journalism that emphasizes conflict, controversy, crisis, and disaster gets ratings. The more yelling happens in an interview, the more Americans want to watch. Couric's steady, calm, and professional interview style puts thrill-craving people to sleep.

Some "conflict debate shows" thrive on the criteria that you've mentioned, but news hours, like FOX have little yelling and screaming, but give people something different than what they've been spoonfed for 35 years-liberal slant.

Unfortunately, FOX is now the "Israel is perfect and can do no wrong and all Arabs are terrorists" channel.

I don't know how old you are, but in the 60's and 70's, there were some professionals like Cronkite who realized their biases and did well controlling them.

@dgl1962 Fox has a few competent journalists, but you can count them on one hand. The rest are just interested in giving news porn to angry white americans who get off from seeing red-faced conservatives screaming about everything.

Those professionals still exist. Couric is one of them. But americans these days would rather watch interviewers like Laura Ingraham or Megyn Kelly.

@EternityThought White Americans have much to be angry about, primarily for being forced to care for hordes on non-whites (many being illegal aliens that the feds refuse to deport).

Tim Russert was a democrat, yet it was difficult to discern it by the savage grilling that he would give all members of congress, while Couric lobs softball questions wrapped in subtle praise to democrats-even those that have broken laws.
