  • what about bass pedal ? are they strong and fast ?

  • @slaveblaster There pretty standard pedals. They get the job done.

  • @slaveblaster thats what she said.

  • fame mics!!!

  • hey what kind of pedals are those?

  • @dadrummer515 Ddrum stock pedals that came with the kit.

  • @smartiejj are they any good?

  • @dadrummer515 Not really, they work and are solid. But there not made for speed!

  • The drummer sucks timing is way off

  • How's the hardware that came with the kit holding up? mainly the pedals cause i hear theyre not to great and i really wanna get this kit

  • @lortizdrums1 The hardware works, i still use my tomholders and cymbalboomarms on my rack. After 2 years I got new pedals, but the Ddrum ones still work. They are double chained, and very sturdy!

  • Toms don't have real good tone. Don't know if it's the shells that don't sound good, or if it's the tuning of the drums. I usually tune my toms to a major chord.

  • i have the same mic's as you, but my drums sound a lot worse than yourse, and i dont mean that the kit sounds bad, but i can hear its in the mics. do you (i dont know the word, im dutch XD) mix different channels, and do things in a music programme after you recorded it, or just use the sound directly from the record?

if you dont get me just say it, and i will search for good English :P.

my drumkit sounds like i have to much gain open, but i allmost have the gain closed.

    great video btw.

  • how did you tune your bass drum? I'm about to buy one of this kits but I'm not sure I'll like the 20" depth on the bass drum, your kit sounds amazing man but for what I play that sound doesn't help, please respond!

  • @pescalante2 My bassdrum skins are tight. So you get a good rebound from the skin. What do you play???

You can make the bassdrums really clicky or boomy!

  • @smartiejj I play rock/pop with my band you can check some vids on our channel: montecarlomty hope u can help bro!

  • tune your lowest floortome deeper.... it sounds idenctical to your other floor tom.

  • toms sound a little bit crappy -.- not enough power

  • very good kit for the price and with the write heads it sounds class

  • Can you please tell me what heads they are on the bass drum, I have just built a kit and i want coated batter heads for the bass drum. It would be a real help. cheers :) p.s kit sounds excellent! :P

  • @YouOwnMySoul My sound has improved a lot since this video. Check the description for all my stuff. But they are coated emperors, just like all the toms.

    Greets

  • Forget the second bass, stick to one.

  • you should stop drumming

  • you should put your mic's IN your bass drum for a better sound :)

    ~frietjericcardo

  • @frietjericcardo, A few weeks a go i did that, I wi'll make a new video soon. I've got better sound quality now and some new stuff.

  • what kinda rack system is that and where can i find one?

  • It's a pearl dr80 rack. The cheapest rack pearl makes. The yellow and black is just safety tape. I like the look off it. You can buy one online or at a musicstore.

  • Does your Yamaha USB Mixer separate each drum peace to an individual track on the computer or does it only record the whole thing in 1 track?

    Cheers

  • Hey, it only records in a stereo track. You can better buy the version of the mixer without it and just put a audiocable to your audio in. Or buy a seperate usb interface, thats still cheaper.

    Greets

  • our drummer for our band wants this kit, we play like post hardcore, and deathcore, whatever, metal is metal, but do you think its worth getting? the double bass sounds kinda weak and we need a strong double bass.

  • It is a good metal kit. It's just the way you tune your bassdrum heads, and the skins you use. I like mine to have a sort of clicking sound. But the kicks are 20x22, there pretty huge. You can easily get the bassdrums to sound stronger. It's all so the micing of my kit. I have a mic at the batterhead, not the resohead. So the boomy sort of sound is lost.

  • would you say this kit is worth gettin? and how much did it cost?

  • I had this kit for 2 years now and i still love it. I bought it for 700 euro with the stands pedals and zildjian planet z set. But this kit or the ddrum defiant kit will cost you less now. You can by a new ddrum defiant for 350 euros here in the netherands.

  • if you're lookin to get this kid check out my videos im sellin one for cheap.

  • @standxdown

im pretty sure selling children is illegal haha

  • @xaqshana oh fuck hahahha

  • we have the same splash, sick splash eh? (especially for the price)

  • He i love the splash i think i'am going to buy two more splashes. I bought it for 99 euros with the meinl 18 and 12 inch china.

  • @smartiejj

are the chinas any good? or do they sort of suck compared to an aax sabian

  • The have a great tone and don't sound to trashy like wuhans. For 99 euro you must buy them. There so cheap and you get three quality cymbals. From the money of an aax you can buy two great china's from meinl.

On youtube you can search meinl classics 12 or 18 china and you get comparisson movies between 4 china's so you can hear the difference.

  • @smartiejj

they are pretty decent, id have to test it out in person.

but you know your like soundsystem thing with mics and stuff, how much did that cost you? ive always been thinking about micing my set, since all i use now is a rockband mic,,,

  • The mics are the cheapest i could find. 220 euro for all the mics. 4 toms, 1 snare, 2 bass and 2 overhead mics . And then you need to buy a mixer and then run a cable from the mixer tot your computer. You can buy a cheaper mixer then mine but this one is from my dad i think it costs around 400 euro. You need enough inputs on your mixer for all your mics.

  • for mics i actually bought some nady sp-5 vocal mics from guitar center and micked my drums up with em, they are only 30 bucks for a 3 pack at guitar center, and for overheads i use cad cm217's (50 for a 2 pack) they sound awesome, and for a mixer i use alesis multimix 4 usb and my old 4 track recorder as a preamp for my tom mics . the setup only cost me $260 (and that's including mic stands for the mics

  • Nice, but my mixer has 16 inputs for all my mics. So thats why it costs more. My overheads are 2 for 29 euro. They sound awsome and work on 48v from the mixer.
