  • Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow!!

  • Wow!!!

  • From my experience I think that Tejada takes a much longer time to judge the pitch, whether that be good or bad. I say that because watching him play it seems as though the combination of him standing deep in the box and his unusual tendency to punch the ball opposite field despite his relatively short stroke all combine for a longer waiting period to pull the trigger.

  • @sinnersavedbygrace7

So you're saying in the .4 seconds Tejada has to see the pitch and have already hit it he is consciously telling himself what the pitch is? The reaction time of the average persons finger is around 0.15 seconds. So you are saying his entire body has time to consciously determine what the pitch is in 0.4 seconds-0.15 seconds-however long it takes him to swing?

I think your entire theory is incorrect.

  • @SadegoGG No buddy You have 0.4 seconds to judge a 95 mph fast ball. you gotta be quick

  • @QuotientMc

Yeah, in the situation I described the pitch would be a fastball. However, by sinner's theory all of the steps I described are applicable even on a fastball. Also, you can't judge a pitch consciously and swing consciously at the same time since you can only hold one idea at a time in your conscious mind.

  • @SadegoGG No, it's actually correct. And actually, it's faster. That's how long it takes for the ball to reach the catcher's mitt. The average batter's eye can't pick up the ball for the last 7 feet.

  • @noahmcdx

The problem is, Miguel Tejada (And every other professional athlete) doesn't consciously go through their movements. The movements are produced in the subconscious mind through desire. I don't think you understood my point.

  • he stands really deep in the batters box, but nice swing, very

  • i love his swing!
