I simply think you should consider that when stating your opinion, you should try to remove as much bias and exaggeration as you can. Because predicting that Obama will enact "socialism" is a radical right-wing belief, that I don't really think anyone truly believes. I believe in the power of democracy (the same democracy that put Obama in the White House, mind you) over the power of a single person. If you think this is that much of a dictatorship, you need to open your eyes.

I, however, agree with you that the Electoral College should no longer be a factor in deciding the future Presidents. However, as much as I'm attempting to look into it, I don't see anything about Obama losing the popular vote. You obviously have no clue about what FDR stood for back during the Great Depression. FDR lead the biggest government spending spree in history doing little to nothing to get the U.S out of its recession. Basic economics tells us that whenever the government spends it does so in a less productive way then the free market approach. When government runs the show it has to guarantee those positions and funds, lowering overall risk and reducing profits. Take Obama to the stake and burn his ass!

The Great Depression began in 1929 - FDR began his first term in 1933.
During this time, and all the way up to the USA entering WWII in 1941, the national unemployment rate was always ABOVE (but not much above) the rate it is now, and it went even as high as 14% - FDR's policies did not do JACK DIDDLY SHIT to help the economy back then.
It was WWII and not FDR that put people back to work.
Like FDR in the 1930's, Obama's policies are not doing JACK DIDDLY SHIT to help the economy in 2009.

There is no such thing as a public/private partnership, there is only the political class in our government intruding into those aspects of society for which the Constitution does not provide. The only businessmen who would ever willingly agree to "partnering" with the government are either failed individuals who need the money that the government promises (in return for control over their respective businesses) or corrupt ones that intend to buy favors for their political "contributions."
