I couldnt help but think this is a cover. I heard them play on Jay Lenno half an hour ago . But I cant find that the song is a cover on yahoo. I have heard a song that sounds very similar , possibly Radiohead .
well, i'd take these guys and good ol prettyboy kurt over uh, watshername .. not miley cyrus, that new blonde one who's everywhere these days...shucks. can't remember. anyway. her.
the airborne toxic event is amazing along with the band Annasay. I just discovered Annasay on itunes recently, but they have quickly become a favorite too. Listen to the Annasay song "Winter Air" on itunes or youtube
If you're thinking this guy's singing with passion about something that has really touched his life, put on anything live that nirvana has ever done. I think you might start feeling differently.
Yep, Kurt's wrenching songs about what a hassle it was to try to find some decent brown tar without getting ripped off; or how totally uncool it was that the fascist Hyatt House hotel chain's bellmen didn't have access to clean works, were powerful. They are the artistic equal of the greatest and most emotionally vulnerable works by performers whose first names started with "K" who were from the Pacific Northwest and produced work in the first two years of the last decade of the 20th century.
i'm not going to lie I loved Kurt Cobain. Don't really care how cool it's become to dislike him. but either way there's no reason to down Mikel because you're a nirvana fan. there are two completely separate and different types of musicians.
Really? Lyrically, I see little similarity other than the first line from each song. The pentameter is kind of the same, but I think the meanings are different. And for the comparison to Arcade Fire, maybe I see some influence there (aren't many artists influenced by others?) but I wouldn't go so far as accusing this band of copycat music. The string part isn't even similar. The Waterboys were before AF and had a violinist as well. Does that mean AF is a rip-off of them?
I don't know man. I can't really describe exactly what it is, but there is something extremely inauthentic about this band. I just feel it.. and I'm absolutely sure of that feeling. Do you actually like this song?
Yea, actually I do kind of like it, even though he's a bit whiney in this song, I still like it. Unfortunately, I've heard the rest of the album and it kind of rough. I dunno, maybe they're just new and finding their sound or maybe they'll just be a flash in the pan with this song. I don't think we have another Counting Crows or U2 or anything here.

this song is absolutely horrible. the cheese factor is through the roof. in fact, it is the e-z cheese of cheesiness. If you can hear, you need to recalibrate your cheese detector. I make better songs, daily, with my sphinctor.
And Arcade Fire must be ripping off U2's New Year's Day since both drummers are carrying a single drum in the video. You hear what you want to hear....
the keyboardist has donald trump's hair style. you know the comb over? a few stomach crunches or sit-ups wouldn't hurt her either. big gut hang over. sick.
Wish someone would post the performance they did on The late show with Carson Daily. I turned on the tube after work and these guys were just starting. I have to admit they are pretty fkn good.
Anywho, South By South West. It's not just a concert. It's the best of anything indie that has happened in the world in big convention(sorta like AnimeExpo, but much bigger) held in Austin, Texas every year for a week long. The best in indie film, music, clothing, you name it. They also have some major things there. For example, music. Queens Of The Stone Age has played there, as have Flyleaf(they did this year). Film is...well... indie. :D

this song is a blatant and pathetic rip off of lcd soundsystem's "all my friends" (lyrically) and arcade fire's "no cars go" (the strings)

what bullshit. arcade fire is the most overrated band on the face of the earth. this song is excellent and these guys are pretty good.
