  • omg i saw them live in december

    they were amazing

  • i'm glad i watch AMTV that morning! cause i found this really good song

  • i know i was watching vh1 s jumpstart

  • Awesome song, i bought the album on the strength of this song and haven't been disappointed

  • hellz to the fuck yeah

  • lol

  • I couldnt help but think this is a cover. I heard them play on Jay Lenno half an hour ago . But I cant find that the song is a cover on yahoo. I have heard a song that sounds very similar , possibly Radiohead .

  • Yea it sounds alot like Radiohead' High and Dry.

  • @mmmarshall12 I cant tell if you were being sarcastic... .please tell me you were?

  • haha thats excatly who i say on my list too but i throw in guns n roses too

  • liked them better when they were called intro to arcade fire lol.....good stuff tho, hope they keep it up.

  • efitzey i dont see you on the stage

  • well, i'd take these guys and good ol prettyboy kurt over uh, watshername .. not miley cyrus, that new blonde one who's everywhere these days...shucks. can't remember. anyway. her.

  • awsome herd it on mtv

  • If you're thinking this guy's singing with passion about something that has really touched his life, put on anything live that nirvana has ever done. I think you might start feeling differently.

  • Yep, Kurt's wrenching songs about what a hassle it was to try to find some decent brown tar without getting ripped off; or how totally uncool it was that the fascist Hyatt House hotel chain's bellmen didn't have access to clean works, were powerful. They are the artistic equal of the greatest and most emotionally vulnerable works by performers whose first names started with "K" who were from the Pacific Northwest and produced work in the first two years of the last decade of the 20th century.

  • i'm not going to lie I loved Kurt Cobain. Don't really care how cool it's become to dislike him. but either way there's no reason to down Mikel because you're a nirvana fan. there are two completely separate and different types of musicians.

  • This is a pretty good song. What songs have you written lately? I think you may be deaf.

  • Really? Lyrically, I see little similarity other than the first line from each song. The pentameter is kind of the same, but I think the meanings are different. And for the comparison to Arcade Fire, maybe I see some influence there (aren't many artists influenced by others?) but I wouldn't go so far as accusing this band of copycat music. The string part isn't even similar. The Waterboys were before AF and had a violinist as well. Does that mean AF is a rip-off of them?

  • I don't know man. I can't really describe exactly what it is, but there is something extremely inauthentic about this band. I just feel it.. and I'm absolutely sure of that feeling. Do you actually like this song?

  • Yea, actually I do kind of like it, even though he's a bit whiney in this song, I still like it. Unfortunately, I've heard the rest of the album and it kind of rough. I dunno, maybe they're just new and finding their sound or maybe they'll just be a flash in the pan with this song. I don't think we have another Counting Crows or U2 or anything here.

  • what bullshit. arcade fire is the most overrated band on the face of the earth. this song is excellent and these guys are pretty good.

  • This is a pretty good song. What songs have you written lately? I think you may be deaf.

  • And Arcade Fire must be ripping off U2's New Year's Day since both drummers are carrying a single drum in the video. You hear what you want to hear....

  • and coldplay.

and pretty much every band ever.

  • I like how people are just blabbering away until around 1:45, then they shut up and listen!

  • holy crap!

    you're right

    hahaha

  • ahh just freakin awesome!!

  • IN YOUR FACE

  • you god damn sausage wallet!!!

  • very powerful powerformance, love this song.

  • Wish someone would post the performance they did on The late show with Carson Daily. I turned on the tube after work and these guys were just starting. I have to admit they are pretty fkn good.

  • i was watching that right before this video. look it up now :D

  • Bought this on iTunes last night. Can't quit listening to it. If I let it, it makes me cry.

  • What is SXSW?

  • Its a music concert that happens every year in Austin Texas

  • south by south west

  • INDIE FEST!!!! WoooO!

Anywho, South By South West. It's not just a concert. It's the best of anything indie that has happened in the world in big convention(sorta like AnimeExpo, but much bigger) held in Austin, Texas every year for a week long. The best in indie film, music, clothing, you name it. They also have some major things there. For example, music. Queens Of The Stone Age has played there, as have Flyleaf(they did this year). Film is...well... indie. :D

  • L.A. music at its finest!

  • my favorite song right now :D thanks for the vid :D
