ivan whats the difference between the fade master and improved master? is it both the same motor just the blading is different? or just the blades are different?
i can honestly say that i've used wahl's for several years, but i recently bought an andis improved master and the difference is superb, they cut and blend so smooth and never pull or snag skin, and the guards snap on and stay on unlike wahls.....however, the wahl magic clip or wahl senior in combo gives u a flawless fade/blend, and a wahl detailer in combo with an andis outliner gives u a razor sharp line up, but yes, the master outdoes all other magnetic clippers
Dude, reality check. Your comment might have been relevant 20 years ago, but 76 is now seriously outdated technology. Time to get with the current decade, century, etc.TY
The Andis Clippers are the very best on the market PERIOD! The Andis Improved Master is without question the best tool for overall use. Now with the Fade Master & Phat Master you can eliminate plastic guard attachments. The Andis BGR is much better than the Classic 76. It is quiet, light weight and can be used with a cord or without.
As a barber for over a decade who really does do ALL hair types I use only Andis. If you doubt me just look at my haircuts on my youtube page.
Hi - thanks - If using the BGRC with the blade #000 plus a blade guard (for example nº 4 = 13mm) instead some proper Andis blade as the 3.3/4FC - would I lose here something when working regarding the ''cutting quality'' or something else...or both of the ways will work similarly? regards.
when comparing a snap on guard to a steel blade... the cutting of a blade will always be a bit superior. smoother, velvetier. Blade hold hair better, more even tension and smoother finished cut.
Hi thanks - just I little doubt (until I get some blades instead) if using the BGRC's with some snap on guard - would work better for example the #0A blade for general cutting (since it has large teeths) than the #000?
Yes the 0A will feed better... but not all guards will fit an 0A... the rear blade on the 0A is a bit larger thna the rear on the 000... But some universal guides will fit the 0A... and yes, bigger teeth will feed better. Good idea.
Hi ok! Could you help me to know if those Andis snap on set wich comes write '' set works best with blade size 000 and 1'' would fit on the #0A blade? regards.
Hi Clipper guy - I am interested (to buy) by now an Andis ''T'' Outliner trimmer but I've fond them (on the web) just available in three different models...the 04710 GTO ''T'' Outiliner - the 04603 GO ''T'' Outliner II and the 08770 GTO ''T'' Outliner GTX (black) - well...Wath are the main advantages / disadvantages and which is the best among them? Thank you.
All 3 are same motor and housing. T-Out and GTX have T style balde. Outliner II has Square balde. personal preference. All same degree of closeness. Same power.
Hi - I got a BGRC and I am using it already, light and easy to use, very nice! But I till have a doubt about rotary clipper - are these new Oster ''classic'' models as the Titan or the Turbo with dual speed slower than the BGRC's?
rotary is high speed and high torque... power to weight... bigger motor, bigger power and torque, but heavier most of the time... need to look for a balance of size, weight, power, torque... BGRc is the best in the world in this area.
Hi Ivan - I am needing your help - I am wanting to buy or a BGRC's (with the cord adapter) or a Excel II or even the BGC trend - I use to use my clipper always corded (I don't need a rechargeable one) - which among these rotary motor it's the best? (I am asking about velocity / torque) thanks.
Fast Feed and Master are very different tools. Mag VS pivot motor... different speeds and blade designs... different levels of torque. Can't really compare these two... Like a Mercedes and a Kia... they are both cars, but...
i understand sir.....but do the improved is so weak? i meant is good for fades only, only fades, i dont see why there are master fade and improved master, jsut the fade master would do it. cause the improved master get stuck if you cut lotta hair.... you know....i got both, fast feed and masters....fast feeds never let me down....any clipper from andis that can put up with the fast feed??? or better.... but a non rotary motor...
A SpeedMaster II will put the Fast Feed in the dust... it is second generation pivot motor. Masters are dry hair tapering clippers... very high speed and lower torque. Yes, thick, heavy or wet hair will bog a Master. Pivot motors (like Fast feed and SpeedMaster) are designed to cut thick, heavy, wet. You can't tow a boat with a Ford Focus. Got to be the right tool for the job. For dry hair, true, classic barbering there is no better than a Master (Phat, Fade or classic).
Oster also features a different blade angle... vastly different cutting feel from The Master. Hey, no worries, you like what you like. I am O.K. with your opinion being different than mine. There are enough heads out there for all of us to cut. The best part of the barbering is all of us sharing all that we know with each other to help grow the business. It is all good.
Hi Ivan, could you tell me please the difference (if any exist on ''hair cutting performance'' I mean) amoung the BGRc's, BGC Excel and the MBA's? Thanks
hey ivan nice vid! well a month ago, i purchased the outliner II, and bought a t-blade a couple weeks later. because of this purchase, does that mean my old outliner II is now a t-outliner? or do they have different motors?
Hey clipper guy- Great stuff! Which is a better trimmer, the grey t-liner or the black styliner foer all around cutting including line-ups? Thanks Rich
Grey T-Outliner is best seller. Styliner is just a bit more motor. Styliner MIII is the most powerful trimmer on the planet... 40% more motor than Styliner II. All line close, tight and crisp.
The prefered tool for design work is the Styliner II or Styliner M3. Square housing for better control. Close cutting blade. Cordee for lots of power. mag motor for blade speed. M3 does not get as hot as fast for cooler running.
Clipper cut videos will be posted, down the road. I agree that that info is very important as well. I/we are learning to shoot and edit. Gimme a chance and I will deliver. Promise!
Very informative, you do great work

i can't transition from a 1/8 guard to a 3/16, is there a guard between those or is there a technique that will help?
bumbacutthoat 2 years ago
1/8 is 2 16ths... 3/16 is just a bit longer... so... use the longer guard first.... then follow up below with the shorter...
see my video called skip guard tapering for more detail.

so which ones there are better than the oster powerline? are the 76 shite clippers then? what about wahl 100 series? are they any good
quintempo74 2 years ago
76 is outdated technology... try a BGRc. Wahl does not really have a detachable blade clipper that can play hard in pro application.
